Today is The Brighton Youth Commission’s 13th annual SPEAK (Su***de Prevention, Education, Awareness and Knowledge) 5K walk/run at Carmichael Park (650 Southern Street).

Festivities begin at 5 p.m. with the 5K to follow at 7:15 p.m. The cost to participate in the 5K is $20 for adults and $15 for students (fee includes a candle, T-shirt, and swag bag). All proceeds will go towards future SPEAK projects. To register, visit www.speak5k.org. Registration is also available on site.
