From our favorite Livestock Manager, Hayley-Beth:

Hey everybody!
I had the opportunity yesterday to go down to Texas High and give a speech to an amazing group of FFA kiddos. I spent some time talking with them and having them show me around their program. They were so excited to show me everything they had been working on all year because they were proud of it. It reminded me of why we do what we do, not only here at the NEA District Fair, but all across the nation. We do it for the kids. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to all of you that help and support FFA chapters nationwide. You don’t understand the impact you have on these kids until you see it. And trust me when I tell you, it’s a pretty great feeling. Can’t wait to see everybody in a few months!

In honor of the 97th Arkansas FFA State Convention and Expo starting today, we wanted to give a spotlight shoutout to three of our wonderful kiddos we have here in the NEA. These three have been nominated for State Officer positions, which we know is no small feat! So congratulations to you and your programs! We are so proud of you and wish you the very best of luck in elections this week! 💙💛🫡

Good afternoon everyone! We just wanted to take a second to congratulate our NEA kiddos on some big wins at the Buffalo Island Northeast District Junior Livestock Show! The show and staff were amazing and the livestock were TOP NOTCH! Cannot wait to see everyone back at the fair in September! Hope everyone has a very safe and Happy Easter!

Our favorite pageant queens were out and about today at the Nettleton Miss Lions Pageant! One was crowning, one was judging, and both were having an absolute blast! They love being a part of the Northeast Arkansas community and we couldn’t be prouder! 🎡👑

Our Junior Miss made it down to the White River Wonderland Christmas Lights in Batesville! A huge thank you to Mr. Matt from Independence County for accompanying us and for the City of Batesville for letting us come out and meet some of the most wonderful kiddos and parents! Merry Christmas from us here at the NEA District Fair!

We had a blast at the Jonesboro Christmas Parade tonight! A huge thank you to the good folks of Central GMC for taking such good care of us and our Queen and for sponsoring this sweet Bronco for us to ride around in! And a huge thank you to our little helpers helping us pass out candy! We hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas! 🎄

TONIGHT!! THE SHOTGUNBILLYS
High energy southern rock blending Memphis blues with a steady Arkansas country handshake. Meet the ShotGunBillys. The band was nurtured on the sounds that made Memphis great but have carved a distinct sound that blends it all. Lance McDaniel (lead vocals, guitar), David Snell (backing vocals, bass), Theron Woods (backing vocals, guitar) Joe “Boogie” Simmons (backing vocals, keys) and Case Cooper (drums, percussion) started playing together as the ShotGunBillys in 2008. “We don’t get to play around Jonesboro much anymore,” said McDaniel. “We’re excited to come home to play for our fans.”

Joe Bateman and the 870 Boys will take the stage at 7:30. Joe’s fans describe his shows as high energy in your face entertainment! Joe will be up on top of the speakers taking complete control of the crowd by the time the show is over. SUPER entertaining.

We are so proud of all of our exhibitors here at the NEA District Fair and all they have accomplished this year! Now, let’s get ready for the dairy show starting on Thursday and Friday! 🎡
