💜Things I helped you prior to the wedding:
Gina kept us super organized! From the very start, she advised us on all the typical things that we would need to prepare ahead of time for the wedding. She had Google Sheets for everything - down to the smallest detail, from a general timeline of the day's activities to how and what to setup and where! I felt confident that if I'd forgotten about anything, that Gina would remind me (like the small but uber important detail of bringing a lighter for the altar candles!). She was super flexible, and we were able to stay in communication through emails, texts, and facetime calls. She also did a walk through with us at the venue to discuss details in more depth. Even though we'd hired her for just day-of coordination, Gina was on it, and we were able to check in multiple times well before and leading up to the wedding day. We'd found our various vendors on our own, but was able to just hand off all the contact info/contracts over to her to organize and to touch base with as needed. Gina also organized us during our rehearsal and made sure we all knew what to expect. There was very little that Gina didn't do for us!
💜How did I keep you sane:
Wedding planning is by far one of the most stressful things I've ever had to do - there are just so many emotions that you go through wanting the day to be special. Quite frankly, I'm not sure I could've thought about anything else on my wedding day aside from managing my emotions! And Gina really made our special day completely hands off for us. We literally didn't have to think AT ALL about keeping to the schedule (she'd cue us), whether or not the place was set up to our liking (she made sure of that), and she was just so great at directing everyone, answering all questions. My husband and I literally did not have to address a single question from anyone - not the vendors or our guests. If anything didn't go as planned (and I highly doubt that that happened), we had zero clue - that's how smooth Gina's coordinating was. And she was just so positive and friendly with everyone - she really added a lot of comfort and lightness to the environment. She was soooo reassuring every time we talked! And I knew I could trust her completely with running our wedding perfectly.
💜 How you felt about the day of your wedding:
Our wedding day was perfect! We got so many compliments about how the whole day went. There were zero hiccups - everyone was so pleased with how it all went. After a fairly stressful year of planning, I have to say that my husband and I just felt SO carefree that day!! Gina really helped create a great environment that allowed us to just relax and enjoy ourselves, and not give the wedding coordinating piece a single thought.
💜 Your thoughts on my services:
Gina was a dream come true. Again, she was just so friendly, so positive and upbeat, and truly reassuring in all our communications. I could tell that it was important to her to make our wedding great for us. She was just always so accommodating, and always knew what to say or do in every moment. When I was getting ready at the hotel, she sent me text updates, and sent me pictures of some of the decor so I'd know how it was going. When we had extra guests stay for dinner, I remember just letting her know quickly, and the guests were immediately seated with dinner and everything. But I think the best part about Gina is that even in all the hard work I knew she was doing, she was able to maintain a smile, and really went out of her way to greet all my family and my friends and make everyone feel welcome. She blended right in and really did a lot of the behind the scenes work without any of us even seeing it! And I think that's really important to have in a coordinator - someone who is obviously running things without drawing attention to themselves. She really made it about us, and I really appreciated that!
💜 Why you think it's important to hire a wedding coordinator: In our planning with Gina, it was clear that there were 50 million things to think about for the wedding day - what time the cake was coming, which vendor goes where, who was going to pack up the decor after the wedding, etc. I think it would've been absolutely impossible to be in the moment and enjoy our wedding had we not had a wedding coordinator. Having someone like Gina who I trusted completely to do her job well, really allowed us to just relish in the joy of having all the best people around us. Even though our wedding was hours long, it flew by in a flash - and had we had to answer questions, or be part of the setup, etc. - I think we would've missed a significant chunk of it, and wouldn't have reaped the benefits of the yearlong planning. Having Gina also meant we didn't have to burden our friends and family with helping out either - and that meant again more quality time with everyone!
