Wedding number two from this past weekend and my final wedding of the year! It was quite a wedding to finish out 2024.

I started early in the morning at a house in Novato for a few Chinese traditions of door games, which were apparently tame compared to what the bridesmaids could have done, a tea ceremony and lunch, that included a full roasted pig, a first look and portraits at the beautiful Old Mill Park in Mill Valley, followed by the ceremony there under the redwoods, and a reception at the Mill Valley Community Center with dancing into the evening.

The couple was beyond sweet and even though it was a long 12 hour day for me, it didn't feel like work with them. So glad to end the season on a high note with this one.

Thank you to all of the usual vendors for executing the day perfectly for everyone! See you all next year!

Sneak peeks from wedding one of two from this past weekend. This was my final weekend of weddings and it was bittersweet. I have loved working at Deer Park Villa so much this year and with all of my wonderful couples and their family and friends, but I am also ready for a break after the busy year, so I can spend my weekends with my wife and kids again.

It was such a lovely wedding to end my season at DPV this year with this couple. I remember on the engagement shoot talking to them A LOT about our love of film, and I was fascinated to hear all of the details of the bride's job, working for a movie trailer production company. So cool!

The couple is from the LA area but wanted a redwood vibe, and they definitely got it at DPV. They included their dog Avery, who was a bit skittish of myself and the camera. But I believe we came to an understanding, that I would social distance by 10 feet.

The wedding party was sweet, cousins are the best, some minor head sweat, high fives, outfit change, some dances, a good old Hava Nagila, and some dancing to end the night. It was a wonderful day with wonderful people. I especially want to thank all of the vendors who are the usual suspects that I call my coworkers now because I see them so much. Thanks to them for making the day run so easily and smoothly, they always make my job not feel like work, and that keeps me coming back.

Beautiful day for a wedding yesterday at The Garden Walnut Creek. I've shot here a couple times before and was thrilled to be back. The couple got ready at Walnut Creek Marriott at the beginning of the day, and then made their way over to the venue for the festivities.

Catching up with family and friends, the couples adorable son who stole the show, a koala bear, a dress change before the couples first dance, toasts, cake cutting, and then a relaxing evening of dancing and laughter. Everyone had a great time and the couple was thrilled with how the day went.

Thank you to all of the wonderful vendors who executed the day perfectly for everyone!

Such a fun wedding on Friday with this group! Deer Park Villa was beautiful as ever. The grounds keeper is there every day keeping the flowers and plants happy and healthy for the days event.

The groom was Greek and they had quite a bit of homemade ouzo that the uncle had made for everyone to enjoy throughout the day. Father and daughter had a touching moment when she gave him a gift, everyone was ready to dance after the ceremony ended, the DJ brought a super cool device that produced smoke and bubbles filled with smoke (I need one), s'mores, and dancing into the evening. Fun couple, fun wedding, fun day.

Thanks to all of the wonderful vendors for making the day great as usual.

What a fun wedding Friday!! Always love shooting at The Outdoor Art Club. It's so cozy and beautiful, and in the heart of Mill Valley. The "first look" was, in my opinion, the greatest first look I have ever photographed in my 16 years of doing this. Planned out in advance, a month beforehand, and perfectly executed. The groom had no idea, other than when she was walking up behind him, "is that noise from your dress?" High five to this bride for nailing this and the rest of her wedding exactly how she envisioned it. She was working hard day of to make it all happen too. I was so impressed by her and if she ever becomes a wedding coordinator, hire her!

Heavy themes from the friends Friends TV show at this wedding, a T-Rex, lobsters, a crocheted heart, Old Mill Park redwoods, a bit chilly on an exposed hill for ceremony in Strawberry, but totally worth it for the incredible views, a designed and constructed arch by the groom, a seating chart with a photo made up of all of the guests names and once you remove all of the names, another photo is revealed, an 8 minute slideshow, cupcakes, first dances, and babies on the dance floor. Quite an epic day and so fun to experience all of it. Sign me up for more of these unique personalized wedding days!

The main reason my wife and I went on vacation was because my cousin got married on the island of Capri. Some of my couples can relate to their pain of having to postpone their 2020 wedding not once but twice. So happy to have been able to celebrate with them finally and all of their friends and family. And, a rare time that I get to enjoy being a guest at a wedding! In this video you will see a band playing in the middle of a street in Capri. The band is a tradition for some Italian weddings where they lead the entire wedding party through town while singing and dancing. Everyone on the street we passed was singing and dancing with us too. Very cool tradition bringing the whole community into the celebration and so much fun!

Had a wonderful birthday yesterday! I was treated to a concert by my kids. Covers of Shaun the Sheep and Paw Patrol.

Our Story

Congratulations on your engagement and thank you for checking out my page! My job is to capture your wedding day so when you look back over the images years from now you can relive every moment and emotion. I have worked on over 250 weddings in the past 10 years and have found that every couple and wedding is unique. I love talking with each new couple. They laugh and smile at each other as they tell me how they met. I capture images of them be playful with each other on the engagement shoot. And finally, getting to watch them on their wedding day express their love and commitment to one another in front of their friends and family. After 10 years of doing this I still love it all and it brings me joy. I look forward to hearing from you and learning about your story!
