As we celebrate Black History Month, I am amazed by God. The Lord has brought us to Highland area to reach the urban, tech and Hispanic community. As I walked the campus and met with my pastor, we pray at the Rev Jacob Fontaine Park.

I’ve learned this remarkable man of God was a slave, who after becoming free, planted 5 churches in the Austin area, owned the first black newspaper and was a pillar in the community.

The Lord has not only called us to the area, but he’s called us to raised others up.
