MUSTANG T-SHIRT – THE BACKSTORY
The story of the Mustang T-shirt begins where grit meets grandeur—our family’s ranch, nestled in the shadow of the Grand Teton Mountain Range.

We’ve been ranching in Jackson Hole since 1912, but when the 1990s rolled around, times were as lean as a coyote in winter. Cattle prices were low, and the bills didn’t much care. Then one day, a location scout for Philip Morris pulled into our driveway and asked if they could shoot a Marlboro Man campaign on our land. The money was good, so we shook hands.

When the Marlboro crew arrived, we didn’t meet polished city slickers or airbrushed actors. These were real cowboys—buckle-winners from rodeos, hands toughened by hard ranch work, and men who could gallop across the Buffalo River or drive a herd of mustangs across open fields without losing their stride.

The Marlboro Man brought the beauty of our ranch to the world, with their photos gracing magazines and billboards. Their crew came back every few years to photograph new campaigns, and in doing so, they taught us something that stuck like a burr in a saddle blanket—the power of telling the cowboy story right. Not dressed up or watered down, but raw, rugged, and true, like a Wyoming sunrise.

The Mustang T-shirt is our way of paying homage to those photoshoots. On the front, you’ll find a bucking cowboy—a tribute to the untamed spirit of those men and the wild horses they rode. On the back? A Bible verse to keep that cowboy grit grounded.

When you wear it, we hope you feel that same bold spirit—fearless, authentic, and ready to ride. So throw it on, tip your hat, and ride knowing that the story you’re living is worth telling.

THE MAVERICK TSHIRT - It ain’t just a shirt. It’s our story.
You see, we grew up with a black & white photo hanging on the wall. Taken around 1935—a young cowboy, tough as the Wyoming landscape, riding a bronco at the Jackson Hole Rodeo.

That cowboy? Walter Feuz. Our grandfather. The founder of Diamond Cross Ranch. Walt wasn’t just any cowboy—he was the real deal. Wyoming Cattleman of the Year. A member of the Wyoming Cowboy Hall of Fame.

He knew cattle, horses, and the simple truth that in this life, if you work hard and give more than you take, then maybe, by God’s grace, you’ll get to wake up and live that rough, beautiful cowboy life all over again the next day.

This shirt is a tribute to Walt’s maverick spirit. Our artist took that old photo of Walt and turned it into the graphic you see today. Honest. Straightforward. Just like Walt.

We make Diamond Cross Apparel to share our story. Our family’s story. Our ranch’s story. Over a hundred years of history here in Jackson Hole, carved into the same land where Walt roamed—starting as settlers in 1912, and building a legacy that stands firm today.

We make our shirts the way we make everything on the ranch: built to last. We use top-quality materials and produce them in small batches. Not here for trends—here for tradition.

Walt taught us that you don’t just work the land. You live it. You protect it. You pass it on. And with every shirt we make, that’s what we aim to do. Because as we say on the ranch, “If you don’t tell your story, it dies.”

We’re working to keep this land a ranch. To pass it on to our children, so they can continue the cowboy traditions and carry Walt’s values into the future. His love for God. Family. The land. The cowboy way.

So when you put on the Maverick T-shirt, we hope it’s more than just a T-shirt to you—we hope you feel a sense of Walt’s maverick spirit. Thank you for being part of this ride.

COWBOYS AIN’T TOUGH…. Tough’s a barroom boast, a cheap hand of poker. Cowboys play the long game.

Cowboys ain’t tough, they’re steady. The kind of steady that pulls a calf from the river, buries a friend without flinching, and knows there’s no glory in quitting.

Cowboys ain’t tough, they’re honest. Not the kind you hear in speeches—the kind you see in calloused hands, worn boots, and eyes that don’t blink at a storm rolling in.

Cowboys ain’t tough, they’re loyal. Loyal to the land, the Code, and the people who still believe a man’s word is worth more than gold.

Cowboys ain’t tough, they’re free. Free enough to know the weight of the saddle and the worth of the ride.

You call it tough. We call it living.

You want a cozy life of certainty? Well, the cowboy life ain’t for you. Out here, there’s no 9-to-5, no cushy office chair. No 401K, no safety net. The healthcare? A first aid kit and some rubbing alcohol—maybe. But you won’t hear many cowboys complain. We’re too busy living it—the land, the livestock, the freedom that comes with every sunrise.

We don’t need fancy clothes or gadgets to get by. We know our neighbors—well, the few who live within a 20-mile radius. The rest of the time? It’s just the land, the sky, and us. No time to wax poetic about how electric cars will save the world or to debate who makes the best craft beer. We don’t waste breath on that.

In fact, many of us don’t own much. A horse, a truck, the clothes on our back. But we own what we got. And nothing owns us.

This life isn’t for everybody. It’s gritty. It’s tough. It’ll test you in ways you never thought possible. But for those who get it, who crave freedom, that raw connection with the land… well, us cowboys wouldn’t trade this life for all the riches in the world.

God bless America. And God bless cowboys.

Sure, the big city life has got its perks - air conditioning in the summer, fancy restaurants, corner offices with a skyline view.

Out here, it’s a different story. You trade that plush office chair for the saddle of a horse. You trade in the sound of a ringing phone for the sound of hooves pounding the earth. You live by the rhythm of the land, the pull of the reins, the crack of dawn that forces you out of bed when most are still dreaming.

Yeah, it’s tough. The cold bites your face in the mornings. The wind cuts through your bones. Blisters on your hands from work that doesn’t stop. But none of that matters when you’re standing on a ridge, the Teton Mountains spread out in front of you like a painting no one’s ever seen before. When you take in a sunset so wide, so big, that you can’t help but feel a sense of something larger than yourself.

Those moments? They don’t come with a price tag. They’re not for sale. You can’t buy your way into this life. You live it.

Out here, there’s no crowd to blend into. No one to tell you where you belong. You make your own place, your own path. It’s the freedom of the American West. Raw, untamed, and earned. So if you’re looking for a life in the lap of luxury, the city’s got what you need. But if you’re looking for something that’ll make you feel alive, well... you might want to start looking West.
