Lilies are featured in our bouquets this week. I like to remove the pollen from the flowers as they open so they don’t make a mess on the surface below. I removed the pollen from the open flowers in your bouquet, but as new buds open, you may like to go the same. Here’s how!
Mother’s Day arrangements are up on the website! Here is a mock-up in a similar vase (the Mother’s Day vase is a bit more elegant). The vase will include a beautiful, garden-style arrangement with of the moment flowers for yourself or a special lady in your life. The flowers will be from our garden (and other local flower farmers if needed), so the purchase supports our local area!
The Olive Merchant has extended our stay and Fresh Florets will have a little corner through Sunday, December 12 at 4pm. I’ll continue to refresh and restock as needed. I just dropped off a couple of low centerpieces for the table.
We are at Brushes & Beans Cafe with flowers, wreaths and succulent pumpkins!

Dare I say…fall color vibes? I wish I could extend summer, it is going by too fast. Anyone else agree?
I hope to see you Saturday morning at The Wooden Loft Murrysville!
The first planting of dahlias is starting to rev up! It’s going to be a gorgeous late summer and fall here. Here’s a little video from a Friday bouquet. Enjoy this gorgeous Sunday before the rain 🤞🏼.

It’s bouquet making time after a morning harvest.
A bouquet from yesterday’s garden hall: snapdragons, poppies, delphinium, daucus, bachelor button, yarrow, scabiosa, bupleurum, marjoram, and apple mint.
How are you celebrating July 4? Anyone staying in town?
I wasn’t sure I liked lilies for cut flowers, but these have won me over! Now I wish I had done multiple plantings with different varieties. What do you think—should I grow more lilies?
This bouquet also includes: bells of Ireland, bupleureum, yarrow, feverfew, snapdragons, cress, bachelor buttons and poppies.
A mid-April garden style arrangement. Featuring the best blooms of the moment: narcissus, specialty tulips, leucojum, and anemones. Most of the blooms will open up in the vase for the customer’s enjoyment. Turn your sound on to enjoy the birds chirping!

Flowers for my mom. I try to keep her vase full and with fresh flowers. My parents drive 1.5 hrs both ways at least twice a week to watch the kids while I run around cutting flowers, making bouquets, and delivering before going to my evening job. They help to keep my vase full, so I try to keep theirs full as well, even if it’s just with flowers and grandkids.
