Here are the current league standings for Ramshackle Trivia, for games played through November 7. Pearl Street Reboot has moved into the all-important #9 position, just a single point ahead of the Marwoodians! Yowza!

The league season runs through Thanksgiving, so there are three weeks and nine scheduled games remaining, including the special Saturday 11/16 Friends-giving trivia night at Tannin and Tonic by Porchvue Winery, which will count toward the league standings!

Here is the playoff schedule:

* Semifinal : Monday, December 2 at The Bonniebrook : The teams in 10th through 18th place will compete for three open slots in the Championship.

* Championship : Thursday, December 5 at Saxonburg Fireman's Club : The 1st through 9th place teams from the regular season, plus the three teams that qualified in the semifinal, will play for the ultimate trivia glory!

After the Championship, we will continue to have trivia as regularly scheduled during December, and then start the new league season on Monday, January 6.

It was a game of late momentum shifts last night at Tannin and Tonic by Porchvue Winery! Team Fagan was cruising all night long, before struggling in the Mystery Theme round and seeing More of Us pass them on the scoreboard by a single point!

But! The Ultimate Game Changer put the Fagans back on top, as a postage stamp provided the clue to solve a true crime mystery! Similar cerebral sleuthing put Pearl Street Reboot in second place and Hot Dog Party in third. Congratulations to our winners!

Come on down to Tannin and Tonic by Porchvue Winery on Main Street tonight and take your mind off things for a bit with some excellent wines, meads and spirits courtesy of T & T, some delicious food truck grub provided by Vintage Cafe, and an engaging, challenging and fun game of locally-produced trivia from Ramshackle Trivia!

We've got questions tonight about some famous redheads, so brush up on your ginger trivia. And in recognition of today being the 89th anniversary of the release of the board game Monopoly, we've got a tangential round of questions that we're calling Monopoly Geography.

It's going to be a super fun and stress-free couple of hours on what might be an otherwise stressful day for a lot of you, so come on out and play with us! It's absolutely free to play, and the game starts at 7:00 p.m. We can't wait to see you there!

There's no more euphoric feeling in trivia than when you get a final question correct that you weren't 100% sure about going in. So we had lots of happy faces last night at The Bonniebrook where, on a pre-reveal poll on an Ultimate Game Changer about a globetrotting literary character with many aliases, most teams were somewhere between "Not 100% confident" and "We pulled this answer out of our butts".

Five teams did indeed get it correct, though, which gave us lots of very impressive scores! Congrats to the Blind Squirrels, whose torrid steak continued with the victory, and to podium mates More of Us and the Food Fighters!

It's another glorious week in Butler County, and Ramshackle Trivia is here with three all-new, locally-produced, fun, challenging and engaging nights of trivia for your amusement, education and enjoyment! Come and join us:

* Monday, November 4, 7:00 p.m. at The Bonniebrook

* Tuesday, November 5, 7:00 p.m. at Tannin and Tonic by Porchvue Winery

* Thursday, November 7, 7:00 p.m. at Saxonburg Fireman's Club

Ramshackle Trivia is absolutely free to play, it's a whole lot of fun, and there are prizes for the top teams! Come play with us! We can't wait to see you!

A few notes about next week's schedule: We're going to be playing one of our regular games on a different night, and we'll have two special games over the weekend!

* Due to a private event, our weekly game at Tannin & Tonic, which is usually played on Tuesday nights, will instead be played next week on Wednesday, November 13.

* On Friday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m., we'll be having a private game for residents of Meadow Brook Apartment Homes, plus guests, at the Meadow Brook Club House at 13 Meadow Brook Lane. This game will not count toward the league standings.

* On Saturday, November 16 at 7:00 p.m., we will hold a special "Friends-giving" game, centered on the TV show "Friends", at Tannin & Tonic. If there are any league teams who are Friends fans, this game will count towards the league standings, so come on out and try your luck!

We have a very special "Friends-giving" edition of Ramshackle Trivia coming up for you on Saturday, November 16 at Tannin and Tonic by Porchvue Winery!

Friends fanatics, come and test your knowledge of your favorite show with an evening of challenging and entertaining trivia at downtown Butler's newest and most excellent venue for fine wines, delicious meads and whatever other adult beverages strike your fancy!

The game will start at 7:00. It'll be absolutely free to play, it'll be a whole lot of fun, and there will be prizes for the top three teams!

NOTE TO RAMSHACKLE LEAGUE TEAMS: This game will count towards the league standings (because why not?), so if you're a fan of the show, come on out and try your luck!

We've got a super fun event coming up on Friday, November 15, as Meadow Brook Apartment Homes is having us for a trivia night for residents and their guests!

The game will take place at the Clubhouse at 13 Meadow Brook Lane. The game will get started at 7:00, and it will run until 8:30. It's absolutely free to play, it'll be a whole lot of fun, and there will be prizes for the top three teams!

Light refreshments will be provided. If you have any other questions, let us, or Meadow Brook, know.

Here are the current Ramshackle Trivia standings, through games played October 31. As you can see, we have a white hot race going for the all-important #9 spot and the last remaining bye into the Championship! The Marwoodians' 2nd place finish at the fire hall this week puts them in the catbird's seat for now, but Pearl Street Reboot, the Know It Ales and Brainfart are hot on their trail! We've got four more weeks and 11 more scheduled games to sort this out, so stay tuned!

As a reminder, here is the schedule for our inaugural playoff:

* Monday, December 2, 7:00 p.m. at The Bonniebrook : The Semifinal, where the 10th through 18th place teams will compete for three berths into the Finals.

* Thursday, December 5, 7:00 p.m. at the Saxonburg Fireman's Club : The Finals, where the 1st through 9th place teams will play along with the three qualifiers from Monday's semifinal.

As for what comes after that: We'll play our regular schedule in December, just for fun, before the next league season starts on Monday, January 6. Watch this space for more information in the future.

Good times at Tannin and Tonic by Porchvue Winery last night, with super good chili-centric food courtesy of Vintage Cafe and another slate of engaging, entertaining and locally-produced trivia courtesy of Ramshackle Trivia!

Phil Bombs (Team Fagan's nom de guerre for the night) was cruising, with a 30 point lead going into the Ultimate Game Changer. But an incorrect guess about a classic kids' movie pre-boot turned things upside down, and lifted More of Us to the victory, with Pearl Street Reboot and Hot Dog Party joining them on the podium. Congratulations to our winners!

It was another super fun evening of Ramshackle Trivia last night at The Bonniebrook! More of Us pulled to the front of the pack after running the table on the Mystery Theme round. But the Blind Squirrels were the lone squad who knew the odd historical footnote that was the Ultimate Game Changer, and thus they claimed their third victory in as many games played! More of Us held on for second place, while the Vintage Vagabonds took third. Congrats to our winners, and thanks so much to everyone for coming out to play!
