You can choose to purchase disposable cutlery along with our plates. Not only is it beautiful (!) but it can be re-used a few times before you add it to your compost, where it will completely decompose. In fact, our plates and cutlery are good for your compost!

Palm leaf plates are completely sustainable. They are made from the naturally fallen leaves of areca palm trees. Areca palm trees are a crop that is planted in India and harvested for their seeds. After the plam leaves have fallen to the ground, they are collected and steam pressed into plates. Before our palm leaves were collected and turned into plates, they were either burned or discarded. We help famers by paying them for their unwanted palm leaves, and we help the earth by keeping the CO2 from burning the leaves out of the air. Palm Leaf Plates are a beautiful, natural, and eco-friendly alternative for plastic disposables any day.
🌿 Perfect By Design
Palm leaves naturally repel liquids, meaning they can saftely hold both hot and cold liquids without any added chemicals or additives. Our palm leaf plates are fully compostable and biodegradable, just add them to your home compost. Although intended for single use, gently used plates can be wiped down and used again.
