Hello 2022! We had a sick kickstart to this year—and I wish it was “sick” like “rad”. Alas, our household is just not that cool right now.

BUT—I am so in love with our new logo that compliments our branding perfectly!

Three years ago, when I relocated from Houston to Bloomington, it was trying to find the balance in weddings and being a 2nd time mother. 2022 is full of inspiration for me and I cannot wait to get back into design!

I am a Colorado transplant who spends her weekend enjoying the incredible Colorado weather & scenery with her dog and husband.

Speaking my language — The Cake Bake Shop] . My tree has been up since Nov 1.
After moving back to the Midwest, it was a longer adjustment to the long post-holiday winter months, I think I’m going to leave up decor until WELL into 2022.

Sophisticated wedding planning for the authentic couple is what Bloomington, Indiana based Dovetail Weddings’ goal is. Currently seeking Wedding Assistant to join us this summe/Fall season.

We are looking for individuals with a positive, team-player but self-motivator personality who is organized and “quick on their feet” with critical thinking and adapting with events. The Wedding Assistant is responsible for assisting the Lead Planner in facilitating wedding day timeline, assisting the wedding couple, the fellow vendors and guests as needed. With a focus on quality, exceptional Customer Service, and accountability. This position will work through the end of the summer/fall season. Candidates must be available to work flexible hours and weekends.

What you will do:

- Assists Lead Planner in personal decor set up, wedding ex*****on
- Read through the timeline prior to the wedding event
- Capturing Behind the Scenes for
- Social Media Stories and Posts
- Provides quality customer service to wedding couple, their families, and their guests
- Provides professionalism and team centric assistance with the fellow wedding vendors
- Packs up personal decor and ensures all wedding couples items are ready to go at the end of the evening
- Concisely communicate with vendors about timeline items throughout the evening
- Assist in completion of the End of
- Evening Event Report
Requirements:
- 1-2 years in customer service
- Proficient in the use of Google Docs, Instagram, Facebook
- Organized and self-directed individual who is “business savvy" and a team player.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a private and professional manner.
- Excellent communication and listening skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet specific time lines.
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in business situations.
- Creative with a keen-eye for detail.
- Driver’s License
- Reliable Transportation

Physical Requirements:
- Being on your feet for long periods of time (8-12 hours).
- Moving tables and chairs
- Bending and lifting

These cakes were sweet surprises from the bride. For her bridal cake, she and Best Little Cake Shop pulled inspiration of flowers and lace from the bride’s parents’ wedding cake.
The cookie cake was designed by the bride to surprise her groom 💖
FYI: the cake was soooo tasty! Cookies n’ Cream, Vanilla and chocolate chip!

My Valentine Bride 😍
I have so much to say about this wedding planning, the polar vortex in Austin, the extended trip for everyone, family and friends celebrating and stepping up but all I can focus on is how this couple smiled together through it all! Matt said it in his vows and it rings true, “perfectly imperfect...”
