PLEASE READ ALL;
We will be serving pizza tonight, starting at 4pm, in the Zumbrota Telephone Company parking lot.
HOWEVER, due to the potential for a storm system moving through after 6pm, we will keep one eye on the oven and the other on the sky. If things turn dicey, we might have to shut down before our usual 7pm time. For that same reason, ALL ONLINE ORDERS WILL CUT OFF AT 6PM TONIGHT!

The fire is lit for the first time this year!
Turn up the Volume! Our French Bread is "singing" after coming out of the oven: the bread gets a good crispy crust in our brick oven. When we take it out, the soft,chewy crumb cools off and slightly contracts. Since the crust is not flexible at that point, it starts to develop fine cracks. That's a sign for some quality crust bread 😁

Bread Oven Trivia: The walls and floor surrounding our oven chamber are 8 inches thick. We start the fire in the oven at 5:30 in the morning and keep it going until 8:00pm tonight. It will be around 1,200 degrees inside the oven, and the outside mass (covered by a lot of insulation) will get to around 600 degrees. We will let those temperatures equalize overnight, so we can bake at just the right temps on Friday night. Find us at the Rochester Farmers Markets @rochesterdowntownfarmersmarket on Saturday from 9 until Noon. If you order ahead, we will hold your bread for pickup in Rochester in the morning, or Downtown Zumbrota between 2 and 3pm.

WE'RE DOING A THING! So, this adorable Little Tykes Pizza Restaurant Playset was just way too cute for us to pass up - we purchased one and are looking for a good home for it! The recommended age group for this toy is 3-8 years, so we are looking for a classroom or other setting that has the need and space (about 54 x 21 inches) for it. Send us your nominations, and we will pick one lucky recipient. Let us know where you think this Pizza Restaurant should set up shop and why, who a contact person is and how we can reach them.
