Northern Star Event Planning is named in honor of my best friend, Leisa, who I lost unexpectedly in 2015. Leisa was like a mother to me. She mentored me both personally and professionally, she was my biggest cheerleader in life, always believing in me and reminding me I could do anything I set my mind to.
Everything my company represents is built from everything Leisa stood for. She lived life through the joy of giving, loving fiercely, being a positive and professional role model, passionate, and grateful for every day she was alive. She was a spark of energy with a vibrant and unforgettable personality. She positively impacted many lives while she was here and that to her was what life was about.
Losing Leisa was the most traumatic situation in my lifetime. No one can prepare you for the aftermath of losing the most important person in your life. The days were dark and endlessly painful. I have taken this tragedy, turned it into something special to honor Leisa and continue her Legacy as I promised her I would do.
