Your DJ is an integral part of your reception, acting as adviser, emcee and “ringmaster” to make sure everything goes smoothly and the energy stays high. You deserve our personal service and expert guidance. The Magnus DJ advantage starts long before your Big Day. First, you get to select your DJ from one of our three experienced professionals – Grant, Brad or Chase – so you’ll know exactly who wi

ll be showing up at your wedding. Next, your chosen DJ will get together with you – in person or on the phone, depending on your preference – and go over your entire reception timeline with you. If you don’t have a reception timeline, we’ll help you create one. When we meet with you, we’ll talk about all the specific music choices, such as first dance, garter toss and cake cutting; general music options for the cocktail hour and dancing; and your personal “do play” and “don’t play” lists. Your Magnus DJ will also let you know about lighting options that will work best with your venue. Then we’ll write it all up, send you a copy you can send to your planner, best man, maid of honor, videographer…anyone who might need to know the order of the evening. On the day of your wedding, we’ll show up early and have everything set up long before your guests arrive. You won’t have to worry about anything– your DJ will work directly with your venue, caterer, etc. to get your reception revved up and on track, so you can relax, enjoy and be a guest at your own wedding.
