When I opened BLUE, people asked what I would be serving out of her. I laughed every single time and said “whatever I’m in the mood for”. For those that know me well, you know that statement is so true! 🩵

I love taking fresh ingredients and creating a menu for the season, weather or occasion. Our catering business is on fire for that reason - no two events are the same. 🔥

This weekends DeLand Artisan Alley Farmers Market is taking inspiration from a comfort meal as we head into cooler weather.

Tomorrow night we are throwing down on meatballs! 3/4 pound meatballs to be exact!

There will be three different options:
🇮🇹 Italian … ish
🇸🇪 Swedish … ish
🌏 Asian … ish

Reason for the ish? Obviously we are putting our own spin on it. See you tomorrow night 6p - 9p. 🩵

Growing up, I always referred to baking as cooking.

Spending the last 25 years in this industry, I recognize baking is in fact not cooking. It is a specialty that takes a whole lot of patience, precision and talent.

When you “cook” something, you’re able to adjust the seasonings as you go along. Baking on the other hand, you’re stuck with waiting for the outcome.

In honor of October 1st, we decided to bake a friends secret family recipe for PUMPKIN BREAD.

Good news: We nailed it. It’s delicious and a perfect way to ring in the start of October! 🩵

Our dish was a BLUEtiful truffled mushroom lasagna with homemade blue spirulina egg noodles, rich bechemel, Parmesan and herb roasted mushrooms.

Thanks to all who came out to support DeLand Pride and congrats to the Chefs that took time out of their Sundays to support the cause. You’re all winners in my book!

Got a call the other day from a long time customer asking if we were still in business because they haven’t seen us post on socials in a while.

The truth is, we’ve been so busy {woot woot} with catering that our social media presence has been the last thing on my mind recently.

So here we are, putting ourselves out there to let you know, YES WE ARE ABSOLUTELY STILL IN BUSINESS. 🩵

I promise to do a better job moving forward so you have pretty pictures of food and events to look at until the weather cools off for us to hit the market again.

We promised the GOOOOOOD grits. You didn’t think we’d disappoint right?

What’s on top? A reverse seared pork belly with celebrese honey sauce. 🐖

They’re so good - Thinking we may just offer the option to sub out grits instead of toast on any of the dishes tomorrow night. Hmmm.
