Catering Coordinator:
Type: Part-time (15-30 hrs. per week) Pay rate: Based on experience/plus delivery tips and bonuses
Job Description:
Weekly Catering Duties:
• Come in for shift prepared and focused with a high attention to detail
• Daily ex*****ons and deliveries of orders and preparation for upcoming orders in a timely manner
• Ordering / coordinating supplies for FOH and BOH and Inventory Tracking
• Stay highly organized communicating with event manager & reviewing weekly orders
• Assist chefs in the dish room as needed; maintain a clean workspace
• Complete daily side work and any other duties management may ask.
• Menu knowledge including but not limited to: Corporate, Social and Wedding.
• Ability to retain professional dress and demeanor during wedding tastings, serving the guests with prompt, friendly service.
Special Event Responsibilities:
• Review weekly event folder with staff to ensure understanding of upcoming events
• Create packing lists based on event menus and organize supplies for multiple events
• Help keep chefs organized with garnishes for appetizers and for food chafers
• Set up of equipment at various venues (some heavy lifting is required), organizing kitchen area at the venue for appetizers, salads, and dinner ex*****on, with an attention to detail
• Serve guests on a buffet line or with trays and tray jacks for a plated service. Always have a positive attitude and treat guests as if they are at your own family gathering.
• Setting tables and taking care of rental equipment & accounting for all rental inventory.
• Responsible for final cleaning check and walk through at all venues to ensure all supplies are removed and venue’s standards are met
Required Credentials:
• Able to lift 45 lbs. and stay on feet for 8-hr. shifts
• Must have a valid driver’s license
Preferred Experience:
• 3 or more years of experience in service//hospitality industry or a related field
• Some knowledge of food preparation/food safety standards
• Banquet serving experience preferred
• Ability to interact with guests and promote products
