Like my office space, I also need to declutter my social media too. A few weeks ago I started to clean out my instagram from hashtags that aren't very relevant to how I'm spending my time on social media. I've also taken a look at my FB account too. Now's a great time to go through your IG and FB feeds and unfollow hashtags or people or leave groups that don't inspire or encourage you. During my last declutter, I left about 10 different hashtags and people that I was following due to the current crafting that I was doing at the time. I'm going to focus on that today and see how many groups I leave. I'll provide an update later today. How about you? I usually find that I can let my work area get pretty cluttered with reports, calendars, envelopes, items for follow-up... the list is pretty endless. Once a week, I usually take the time to re-organize my desk and file away all of the stuff that needs to be put away as well as to wipe down all of my surfaces since we are still in a pandemic. This way, I can help to keep the clutter to a minimum and ensure that anything that I have that I may have missed gets attended to. I usually keep important follow-up items on my planner, but it is amazing how things like post-its and the small items start to accumulate and I find myself thinking, "I know I wrote that down somewhere." I'm still a work in progress and have worked hard to get my to do list maintained daily. But every little bit helps!

Happy Saturday, everyone! There is nothing like taking a chill pill to unwind and reset yourself. My challenge today is to take 30 minutes out to just chill and do NOTHING! It could be a nap, it could be sitting. But it means just doing NOTHING. No phone, no iPad, no talking. Just breathing in and out. You can chill at the beach, sit in a cafe sipping a latte, lay in bed with the a/c running or the ceiling fan. Whatever just keeps you still so we can be refreshed and in the moment. Me, I plan to lay in bed for a 30 minute session. Maybe I'll take a nap, maybe just daydream a little. It's just me, myself, and I chillaxing. What do you plan to do to get some me time?

It's Feel Good Fri-yay! I've been thinking a lot about my sleep patterns, without trying to be too obsessive. (Good luck I say to myself on that one!). But today's challenge is to get to bed 30 minutes earlier. I'm typically trying to shut things down at 8:30am to unwind and relax. I don't know that I've been doing as great with the shut down with all of the craziness of the week. But tonight, I'm going to dim the lights at 8pm, turn off the tv, and lay back and listen to some soothing music. Maybe even light a candle. Are you guys up for the challenge? More rest means a better mindset in the morning.

It's Wellness Wednesday and time to check in with "How are you doing?" Sometimes its okay to not be okay. Understanding where you are at is so important even if the line on the measuring stick seems to be less that you'd like to it be. The last two weeks especially have been challenging emotionally, psychologically, and physically. There are moments in the day when I know that I'm not okay. I'm overwhelmed. I'd like to take an extended vacation. I'd like some peace and quiet. I'm not getting as much out of my meditation as I would like to. But each day is a new day. Today I choose to be happy and smile despite the rain in my day. I have much to be appreciative of: great husband, great kids, a stable and challenging job, great friends, and lots of shoulders to lean on. So even when I'm not doing okay in a moment of the day. It's meditation Monday. Today I am working on keeping the positivity going for the day. So my three positives are Hope, Peace, and Love. I did think about patience because that always feels like I'm in short supply of that emotion. I'm going to take some time to just focus on those three words and how I can embody that throughout my day - to express love, to emote peace (either in my thoughts or actions), and to have a positive mindset to hope for the better in any and all situations. For my self-care Sunday, I've decided to take the plunge and unplug while I'm out for a walk. I find many different reasons to have my phone in my hands nearly all the time. And I know that I'm not alone in this. And the kicker is that I have it attached to my wrist via my watch. Sigh. So rather than always focusing on the latest feed or news update, I'm going to unplug and pay attention to the world around me a little more and leave the phone at home. I'm going to focus on what is around me and actually enjoy the world that I live in. It will eventually be back to regularly scheduled programming, but maybe I can continue to find some more time to unplug and look around me. What about you? You in with me on this challenge?

It's all about feeling good. Too often I jump to the list of all of the things wrong and how I shouldn't do this or that because it's bad for me. Today, I'm going to focus on doing something that makes me feel good. So this morning, I'm having a wonderfully warm cup of soup and crackers. For lunch, I'm hanging out with one of my oldest friends to have a delicious lunch with wonderfully encouraging conversation. And I'm finishing my lunch hour with a power hour of support with other leaders in my organization to troubleshoot and team build. Overall, it's going to be a day of feel goods! Be. You. Bravely. I often struggle with wanting approval, on how I look, how I'm doing my job, do my clothe's fit right, am I getting too fat, do I have the latest fashion or tech or (fill in the blank). I'm choosing to define success today as being content with just being me. My hair may not look right, my clothes may not be as stylish, maybe I could make more money. But I will succeed because I'm proud and happy with the person that I am today. I actually like myself, faults and all. Tomorrow is another day. But I'm going to enjoy liking myself today.

It's Meditation Monday. Today, I'm focusing on letting go of negativity, at least one negative thought that creeps into my mind. So often, I get caught up in self-judgement and can let that thought play like a broken record in my mind. Today, I'm taking the next two minutes to close my eyes, focus on my breathing, and with each inhale "I am more than capable!", and with each exhale I'm letting go of all negativity. Go ahead and find your power mantra of the day! Set a timer and close your eyes to breathe in positivity and exhale negativity. You can also do this while walking and letting gaze remain soft while you're picking up your Starbucks, or going out to pick up some lunch. Today I choose to remain hopeful and my own biggest fan!
