The last couple of days have been a whirlwind so I will share photos later of our Thanksgiving table... It's one of my favorite things to make a beautiful space to gather! I love a good tablescape! This is the chaos that is my family Thanksgiving! It's beautiful and chaotic and marvelous! We were missing a few people (8 or so) but it was still a great Thanksgiving!

A message from our mascot! 🐕😀

Anyone else LOVE that with technology we get reminders of what we were doing at this exact time last year or even years before? Today's reminder warms my heart! 😍 One year ago today, we we're barely in our house for 3 months and had been begging the hubby to get a dog. He was NOT on board with the idea! He was convinced that a dog would ruin the floors, eat the furniture and was concerned about the financial aspect. Somehow I convinced him to TRY fostering! I had pitched the idea after getting all of the details about what it entails and we decided to try it as it was commitment without the full commitment of owning a dog. I filled out the application and waited...weeks went by... ⏱️ A year ago today, these photos popped up in my feed from the rescue. There they were! And they were only a few hours away! I promptly responded and said yes! We would LOVE to foster these babies! And they responded shortly after asking when I could pick them up! We had it all planned, I was to meet the transport folks halfway the next day! One small problem, in my excitement, I neglected to tell my husband that we were getting 2 pups! I had to sheepishly tell him that evening and surprisingly he seemed ok with it! Fast forward to the next morning, he left to take photos at a wedding and I hit the road to Pick up our new foster pups! 🐕🐕 A year few weeks later we were announcing to the kids that we were adopting the dogs... And guess what!? It was 100%my hubby's idea! Foster FAIL but, one year later we can't imagine life without them! We love them and their quirky ways so much! I am fully aware that we lucked out and our good boys have not ruined furniture or floors! My heart is full and our family feels complete with our two fluffy butts! Happy one year Roscoe and Koda, we love you to the moon and back! ♥️♥️

Welcome to Annikka and Koko!

Hi There! I'm Seija, and I'm so glad that you stopped by!

Annikka and Koko was established in July 2018. After years of thoughtfully planning and executing parties and events for family and friends, it's time to share that love with others. Being a mom and working outside of the home was not always conducive to planning events, but it never felt like work and the late night hours of scouring the internet for just the "right" details were forgotten when it all came together. The time spent with others and seeing the joy on others faces warms my heart and lights the flame of creativity!
