Yet another scam to warn you about. Someone has cloned the Sheriff's Office main line and is calling people claiming they missed a court date, resulting in a warrant for your arrest. They prompt you to pay money via a third-party app to clear the warrant up.
The Sheriff's Office will NEVER call and ask for payment over the phone.
If you receive one of these calls, please do not provide any sort of payment by cash, credit card, check, gift card, etc.
