River Woods

River Woods Formally known as the Supervisors Club- The River Woods was built in the mid fifties by International Paper Co. The pond is stocked with catfish, bream & bass.

for use as an employee training center and a place for employees to have social gatherings, cookouts, etc. Bought in 2001 by James and Patty Woods, they added decks and built a very large outdoor stage. Improvements were made on the building and the grounds were landscaped where the pond could be visible. Many concerts have been held on the stage, along with weddings, class reunions, company parti

es, etc. Concerts held at River Woods include George Jones, Michael Burks, and C**t Ford. The building is rented every weekend throughout the year. There is a boat ramp that could utilize boat launching from the property. Wild game is extremely abundant. The property adjoining the River Woods is a 5,000 acre wildlife reserve where hunting is not allowed; deer & turkeys are often seen.
