I was reminded this week that I’ve been planning weddings and events for nineteen years. Nineteen!
I’d like to say that I have seen, heard and done it all… but I am awfully glad I haven’t. Because it would mean my job is done. And I really like this job. And the people. And the crazy. And the happy tears.
Yup, still in it.

PRO TIP: Hire a wedding planner you trust. Always go with your “gut” and not the lowest price in the hiring process. Your wedding planner is your sidekick, your Jiminy Cricket, your general contractor, your maestro, your Captain. Your conversations with them should lower your blood pressure. They should be invested in you and cheering you on.

This time of year, I always hear the proverbial click click click click of the roller coaster cart as it climbs its peak. The crest of wedding season is here.
The scene is set. In all its magnificent energy. Everything you have put on paper becomes real. You have confidence in your experience and your Team… and even the clouds you see bubbling out of the corner of your eye cannot shake you. Because you have been here before.
And even though the loop-d-loops are not ever the same, the thrill of the ride keeps you gripping the roll bar and grinning with your mouth wide open.
Let’s do it, 2023!

I am in the midst of doing “all the things” for 2023 weddings. Designs and floor plans and rentals need to puzzle together to make the day happen… and look lovely.

PRO TIP: A good wedding design is not just about what you find on Pinterest, Instagram or a wedding blog - it is about how the images you are inspired by work within your landscape and budget.

It’s the most sparkly time of the year!

I’m out of the b merry events office for a much needed quick winter's nap and will return on Wednesday, January 4th. I will be focusing my energy on family and the recharging of my batteries. The resting of my creative mind brings the promise of even greater inspiration in the New Year.
