Want your business to be the top-listed Event Planning Service?
My journey into the world of music started long ago growing up as a gospel singers son. Spending different seasons traveling around to different conventions, sings, and events throughout The North East USA, I began to love the different styles of music. When I got to high school I started spending study hall, computer class, and any spare time playing music for other students. I decided my senior year that I was going to start to save for equipment to entertain people. Soon I had a full set of equipment and hosted several parties, a wedding, and karaoke along with assisting with gear and equipment for singers.
In 2005, I joined the US Army infantry. Still owning and equipment set, I took a few side gigs for parties and celebrations. During my 16 month deployment to Iraq, I would spend my time between missions and duties performing/hosting karaoke and playing music to entertain my fellow soldiers. Shortly before my honorable discharge, I had to turn down gigs and requests due to recovering from injuries.
As I started transitioning to civilian life, I decided to learn audio, video, and graphic editing. I decided as soon as I could to upgrade my sound equipment and computer system, after that I picked up different events here and there. Eventually, I landed the position of lead sound tech for Phoenix Pro Wrestling (INDY). Unfortunately, due to personal reasons in 2013, I had to move away from music.
After being a consultant for a few DJs, I decided to respond to and ad for a position with Beards & Beats Entertainment. From the first night, even tho rusty in my skills, I realized what i had been missing. I, DJ Too Tall Tom, was back and am never leaving music again.
