Jessica + Victor

J + V are a very adventurous couple so they knew they wanted to say their vows and get married in a National Park. They narrowed it down to Yosemite as they had visited it before and fell in love.
.
We woke up at 3am to start getting ready and head into the park for sunrise at Glacier Point. We drove through the dark up the mountain and watched the sky start to turn pink and enjoyed the quiet of the morning. When we arrived there weren't many people there and we were thrilled! We explored Glacier Point, walked along the rocks, and watched the sun rise over Half Dome. As the sun began to get higher and people started to come in, we jumped back in the car and headed back down the mountain. We stopped along the way to see Tunnel View and walk around below El Capitan before heading back to the hotel outside of the park. We all napped before it was time to start getting ready for their wedding.

We met back up to head back up the mountain. Victor went with Kathryn, the photographer (@kathryncooperweddings), and Jessica and I rode with their friend who was officiating their ceremony. We met up at the Taft Point trailhead to do their first look and Victor was blown away! We hung out for a minute so they could have a little time together before we started the hike up to Taft Point.

J & V had a beautiful ceremony with the sun setting in the background while a few hikers watched on. They read their vows to one another and were declared husband and wife! Everyone on the mountain cheered and Jessica and Victor celebrated with a cake and champagne. Jessica even threw her bouquet and they invited a couple of hikers to join in and one of the hikers caught it! Hilarious. We explored the top of the mountain, watched the sun set and the moon and stars come out, and then we made the dark descent down the mountain.

Is there a place you think about daily? This is it for me. I haven't stopped thinking about this place and this day since I watched the sun rise over those big ass rocks with this amazing couple.

This year has taken me to some extraordinary places and I'm extremely grateful.
