What a god damn bummer.

Back in the day, when we were "the grilled cheese company that can't be named anymore by order of the court", Megan gave us a shot and we sold like crazy for a certain festival. It was amazing - so much so - that a co-founder got married here in a pirate themed bonanza. We mourn the loss of an institution.

But we know that Megan and Co are gonna do right. Upwards and onwards. Go kick some ass lady.

After nearly 15 years, Peace Tree Brewing Company will cease brewing operations. We have had a fantastic run, blazing the way in the modern craft beer movement with innovative and thoughtful brews that helped kick off a brewing revolution in Iowa. Over the next few weeks we will be wrapping up production and distribution operations. We’re so grateful for our amazing production team, however they will be transitioning to roles outside of Peace Tree. We are proud to have achieved all we set out to do and more.

Our two taprooms in Knoxville and Des Moines will continue to operate for the foreseeable future gradually growing our lineup of guest taps as we wind down our Peace Tree Brews.

Please continue to support us at the grocery stores while our products are in stock, and at both Peace Tree taprooms. We thank you with all our hearts, and we hope to see you soon!

We know we’ve been quiet. Some behind the scene things are going down.

But here’s the deal - a dear friend of ours has a battle ahead of her for breast cancer.

So! Join us THIS Sunday (8/7) to rally around and support everyone’s favorite Memaw, the one and only Debbie! The Triangle Tap will be hosting an event to raise money for her. And we are proud to support her in all her endeavors.

A glizzy menu from our side project “How ‘Bout Them Sausages, Charlie?” will be available for a mere $8 per custom dog. (Full
Menu below) and a single plate of sides for an additional $5)

A huge variety of side dishes will be available for purchase as well, with an all you can eat option for a single $10. (Sans Dog) (Deviled Eggs, Dirty Rice, Pasta Salad, and so much more)

While you enjoy your food, a silent auction full of dope items will take place.

All proceeds and tips from the bartenders will be donated as well. Tip heavy, bid greatly, eat well, and get after it. For Deb.

Chorizo Street - A cream cheese based spread whipped with preserved lime aioli, vegan chorizo, a house blend of seasonings (like paprika, garlic, ancho, coriander, cilantro, etc) with Queso Quesadilla & Mozzarella.

Because who doesn’t love a street taco?

And if you don’t? Well then, Jed, I don’t want to know you at all.

New on the Signature Cheese Spreads.

Everything! (Marinated) Cheese.

A perfect combination of poppy, caraway, sunflower, & sesame seeds, with garlic, onion, pepper, and red pepper flakes, with a hint of maldon salt folded into our house solera EVOO that marinates a 50/50 blend of sharp cheddar (white), and mozzarella.

Bagels ain’t got s**t on us.

The Jimmy Skelley - Yellow Texas Toast filled with fried mortadella, tomato jam, kewpie, lettuce, heritage tomato, and Praire Breeze cheddar.

A simple, but effective sandwich.

Ottoman: Hummus topped with our house solera EVOO, warm ground chuck, a caponata stew (that’s zesty eggplant, tomatoes, onions, garlic), with fresh cucumbers and harrisa yogurt. Warm pillow bread included.

Apologies for the darkness, but we’ve been working in Nebraska since October 11th. Makes it fairly difficult to keep up on the cheese production.

But good news! We’re offering a limited run and sale for the holiday festivities, tomorrow only! Between 11-2pm you can grab single tubs at $7, or 3 for $20 ($1 off), and even 6 for $35 ($7off)!

Quantities are limited, and on a first come first serve basis. No holds, no pre-orders.

Hello there Midnighters!

We’ve made the decision (after last weeks problematic equipment failure) to end the Season 3 for the trailer. Officially, we’re done for the year for Midnighter’s Mobile Charcuterie and How ‘Bout Them Sausages, Charlie? menus.

Fret not! We’ll be reopening the online store very soon for home deliveries - such as tubs of cheese, pre-built boxes, specialty boxes, sauces & sundries - like olives, tomato butter, soups (Toasted Potato Soup, Smoked Chili, Welsh Rarebit Cheese Soup, etc), drowned mushrooms, hot sauce, BBQ sauce, mustards, etc (but NOTHING on the Sausages, Charlie? menu).

Deliveries will be limited to 15 miles outside our home office (central DSM), with limited pickup, during the weekend. You don’t want to sleep on your orders. Remember, last year, thanks to you loyal eaters we sold out capacity within 45 minutes for the entire week. Plan accordingly, lovelies.

Keep an eye out on this space for workshops (we’re working with some TALENTED people this year for our class boards), big ass announcements, and special releases.

And you would not believe the BIG BIG plans for Season 4 even if we announced them right now. Stay tuned for the best yet. It’s gonna blow your tongue out the back of your head. That’s a promise. Not like, we promise the blackened corn muffins in your BBQ themed box kind of promise. But an actual promise we can deliver.

Sorry for the novel, but hey, it’s year end. Deal with it.

Lots of things have changed since then (I no longer sell golden patties of melty cheese; confluence has like 50 different beers now, along with a rad patio!) but one thing remains the same - we’re bringing delicious to your mouth.
