Starting their journey back in July, these incredible men have worked tirelessly, putting in the hours, heart, and dedication to master new skills and opening the door to new opportunities. Last Thursday, we celebrated their graduation and all they’ve achieved. Here’s to their journey ahead as they take their new skills into the world and continue making an impact. Yesterday, our whole team came together for our Quarterly All Staff Day at ! With about 65 staff members from , , and our mission support teams, we spent the day growing together. Special thanks to Yvonne Alston from Indelible Impressions Consulting, LLC for leading us through the practice of 'feedforward'—focusing on future growth, not just feedback. We also got hands-on with 'train the trainer' exercises and took a deep dive into transparent finances, breaking down our P&L as a team. It was an inspiring day filled with learning, collaboration, and a shared commitment to our mission. We're excited to continue building a stronger team and a brighter future together.

👨‍🍳 Introducing our new cohort in the culinary lab! 🍲 They are mastering the art of making stocks, which are the foundation of our famous Knife Skills soup. This delicious and hearty soup is created from the abundance of chopped vegetables produced during their training. You can enjoy this specialty at our restaurant Fire by Forge 🔪🍅🥕

We're thrilled to share some amazing moments from our recent All-Staff Day! 🎉 Our team came together for a day of learning, growth, and inspiration, and we couldn't be more proud of the incredible work being done here at Forge City Works.

One of the standout sessions was an enlightening workshop led by The ROCA Impact Institute. We delved deep into "Brain Science, Trauma, and Supporting Change, Working with Young Adults at the Center of Urban Violence." 🧠✨ This CBT workshop provided invaluable insights into understanding and addressing the challenges faced by the young adults we serve.

A huge thank you to The ROCA Impact Institute for equipping us with the tools and knowledge to make a real difference in our community.

Last week was truly unforgettable! We want to express our sincere appreciation to Chef Marcus Samuelsson, Gail Simmons, Sam Sifton, and Priya Krishna for taking the time to meet with our Forge City Works Culinary Trainees before their CT Forum event at The Bushnell. 🙌 We were also thrilled to include students from CT State Manchester Culinary & Hospitality and some amazing folks from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Hartford, CT. It was an incredible experience for everyone involved, and we're so grateful for the opportunity! 🌟

Still soaking up the holiday spirit here at Forge City Works! ✨Yesterday, our senior leadership team prepared and served a four course meal to express our deep appreciation for the hard work of our amazing staff. Here’s to a year of growth, teamwork, and advancing our mission together.

We are on a mission to empower our culinary and customer service trainees to become leaders in their own lives, and your support makes a profound impact on their journeys.
