My first wedding of the year was at Waiʻānapanapa State Park in Hana. I rarely do weddings Hana side but Rudy and Rafael had me at aloha during our first phone call. And so it was my honor to create a ceremony just for them. 🌊🌴 In the warmth of the morning of the Hawaiian sun, with Lahela softly playing ukulele, they exchanged not just rings but the deepest promises of love. 💍💞

In a moment of pure aloha, they presented their parents with leis—a gesture of gratitude, love, and connection that brought tears to every eye. 🌸🤍

Hi, I’m Julienne—most people call me Jules.
I performed my first wedding in college over 25 years ago - I think it's getting close to 30 years ago - yikes!
This year marks a decade of living on Maui, and I’m endlessly grateful for this island and community. It will take a lifetime to give back and I won't stop trying.
I adore what I do and feel so blessed to do it here, in one of the most magical places on Earth.

Fun facts:

Favorite drink: a Puerto Rican Cafecito
My ride: Toyota Corolla iM that is an unfortunate shade of fluorescent yellow-green 🙃
Binge watch: Call the Midwife or Q***r Eye
Outdoors kine stuff: Outrigger canoeing and snorkeling. I also like a nice forest stroll but I wouldn't call it hiking.
Secret talent: I can wiggle my ears

We are here to recognize and celebrate what you have created together, the commitment you have lived and the beauty of your union.

Vow renewals are my favorite. Weddings are lovely but it’s the renewals where one truly witness the power of love. Audrey & James's renewal was incredibly special and I'm honored I could be there for them.

I have the most wonderful job that doesn’t feel like a job—it’s a calling filled with love, joy, honor, and laughter. Every ceremony is one-of-a-kind, even if some of the words are familiar. A wedding ceremony is a living, magical moment. Dana and Kyle’s elopement yesterday was exactly that, and Lauren from Mersadi Olson's team captured some behind-the-scenes moments after the ceremony. It’s such a delight to see the photos that truly reflect the experience! I also I see that I talk with my hands way more than I thought I did. :D

How pawsome is it to celebrate a wedding at the Lānaʻi Cat Sanctuary!? Having performed several of them, I can say that it's meow-valous! I have a special ceremony written just for the occasion and take into account the desired level of cat puns that the couple favors. Sean and Julianne came all the way from Ontario Canada to say yes to love and life together at the Lanai Cat Sanctuary . They have 9 cats at home and Julianne is a vet tech and co-founder of a feline rescue program started with her Mom, Cathy who is a Veterinarian. The 800+ cats in attendance also had a lovely time with extra treats and the staff of the sanctuary always go above and beyond to make it a wonderful experience.
