Christina & Morgan ❤️ this day, my heart, these people!! We had the most insane fall foliage that went perfectly with the theme colors of the day. Hands down my favorite part of the day was after the ceremony when we were doing newlywed pics and it was just us and but we were just hanging out talking about Buckbeak and Draco Malfoy like we didn’t have a care in the world. ✨

Today is our last wedding from our “fall sprint” — 5 weddings and 2 editorials all within 2.5 weeks and then we’re back to a sustainable pace — honestly so proud of ourselves for putting health and fam first this year, because in years past we have kept this pace up over the course of September-November 😵‍💫

I wrestled with this one for a while - mostly because I work with some of DFWs most talented planners, and this isn’t super common… but it’s also not uncommon.

This second slide in the carousel was a text that I received from a client, a conversation that helped me put words to something I’d felt tension in for a while but never could articulate until they sent me this as they processed their wedding day with me.

Dear planner - we get it. You have THE hardest job on a wedding day, and we see you. We see that you work your tail off. We see that you are dealing with so many duties that shouldn’t even rest on your shoulders.

May I offer a photographers perspective to you? We need your help to protect the couple and their memories.

We're not asking for you to let us go an hour over time - but having uninterrupted time to capture the couple together is such a gift, for us and them - especially on those days when everything else has been crazy and our time has already been cut into by a ceremony that started 15 minutes late and then all the guests were pulling the couple on their way to cocktail hour and we couldn’t find Uncle Bill for that extended family photo…

Please, help us protect their memories.

The reception will still be there in 10 minutes. 🖤
