This private event space will benefit your unique planning needs. This concept is truly multi-dimensional, with no restraints on start times, that you may find in a traditional venue like a restaurant or catering hall. We will have 3-hour time blocks as well as 5-hour time blocks to accommodate the different types of events that will be held at the Lovely on Main! We are here to provide a custom experience for you every step of the way. We can curate any style or vibe you are looking to achieve, with our tried-and-true event planning experience. While the space is new, the industry relationships we hold are over a decade long - which means that we can sit down with you to plan anything you can dream up, with a little help from our friends.⁣

We are always busy here at The Lovely Lemons, whether it be with our intimate event planning, home decor & design, or one of our very first loves - photography. We are in the midst of one of the most beautiful summers we have had to date on Long Island. The hydrangeas are in full bloom and the golden hours seem to linger a little longer before the fireflies come out. People are happier in general and summer love is all around us. Take advantage of the daylight and that magical golden hour we are always in awe of.⁣

Name Tags for intimate dinners are a must. There is nothing worse than feeling awkward about where you should be sitting. Oftentimes when people don’t know where to sit they will linger around waiting, hovering just wanting some direction. You don’t want your guests to feel this way. When you put your seating together, consider the conversations they may have with the person they are sitting next to and across from.

People love to ask what they can bring. It makes them teel like they are part of the night and that they are helping in some small way. My favorite trick to avoid duplicate dishes or assigning things that may not arrive in time to be heated etc. is to request for them to bring dessert. I can’t recommend this enough.⁣

I recently read this in a southern women’s magazine and this tip just stood out to me in such a way that it is worth singing from the rooftops. If you are entertaining, you set the tone for the whole event. If people arrive and you haven’t finished getting dressed because you were doing prep down to the last minute - you aren’t doing it right. This is also important for when those extra special guests arrive 45 minutes early. Yes this does happen. Plan to be ready early, so you can be sipping your champagne in all your glory when the doorbell rings.⁣
