Irvine Regional has and always will be a favorite of mine. I love the wild peacocks and the train (the horn sounds are such a great tool when working with the kids) also love pointing to the barn animals and horses when trying to get a kid to like me. “HI, I’m Jenna, let me show you a magical horse” might be a little creepy - but it works.. and I’m trustworthy.
It’s also wild without being toooo wild. Aka - I’ve never seen a snake. I’m sure they exist and live there but not within my reach - just the way I like it.

Newborn moments 🥹 it’s 100% normal for babes to cry during their close ups - most of the session is a give and take game with their pacifier 😂 feedings and changing breaks are common.
Newborn sessions are like waves - you gotta go with the flow.
Make decisions as they come but always let babe lead the way. Whatever baby needs baby gets. Then we get those yummy in between shots - like these 🤌🏽
Summertime ☀️ I’m not usually a direct light girly but it was SO bright on the beach this day - I had to step outside my comfort zone a bit and change up my settings to get the shot. Worked out tho 🤌🏽
The bougainvillea of our dreams 😍 I drive by this bush every damn day and I’ve dreamt of a shoot underneath it for YEARS but never felt comfortable shooting on the side of a busy street. I finally decided to plan a shoot there and the results are yummmmmy.
To the clients asking to shoot here - it’s a no go. it’s on Valley View - a very busy street. The amount of cars driving by is super unsettling. A friend from high school actually drove by during the shoot and yelled out “looks good Jenna” ahaha
Also - they cut the bush down a few days after the shoot 🫠 which is a bummer for me during my daily commute but worked out perfectly for /// thanks for meeting me on the street and making my vision a reality! You and Blair modeled perfectly!

A moment for ✨ Dad ✨ - sometimes dads are anti photoshoot and a little attitude-ish but luckily for me, the majority of Dad’s I’ve worked with are literal rockstars. Wrangling the kids and getting them to smile - providing tickles and kisses and cuddles - even asking for specific photos they want with their babes. My personal favorite is when Dad takes out his phone and starts snapping his own photos during the shoot because he understands the moment is just too good. Priceless 🤌🏽 cheers to the Dads that show up.. to the dads that appreciate a good photo with their babes.. cheers to the dads 🍻

Most parents: “My kid won’t last that long”
Me: Is expecting your kid to immediately smile and perform for 10 minutes straight more realistic?!
In my experience - longer sessions are always a win.
During this specific shoot - baby girl was hesitant. She was very serious and wouldn’t let mom put her down. After about 15 minutes - I learned she liked raisins (great bribe), she liked peek a boo ending in me pretending to go tickle her, and she loved to dance. She ended up giving the best smiles and laughs. Even got some dance moves and an outfit change.
Also - loving this studio in Garden Grove. A client found it on Peerspace and it’s legit 4 minutes from my house. Yes please 🤌🏽
Little bit of fine art + a little bit of play. The goal: a photoshoot that produces amazing photos because the photoshoot felt ✨ amazing ✨ the experience is just as important as the result 🫶🏽
I’ve been a lot more intentional with the styling portion of my shoots this year. From location, to fits.. to props. Even working on directions and phrases I can say that make posing easier for my clients. I think my business is thriving this year because of it. I’ve always been booked and busy but this year I’m a good busy. Grateful that y’all let me play this role in your lives 📸🫶🏽

Feeling a bit overwhelmed with the amount of sessions I have this month but when I’m making babes laugh and editing through the cutest photos (like these ones) it makes the weight worthwhile. Still overwhelmed but at least it’s an easy carry. Thanks for choosing me to document your lives - I truly love making your babes smile and watching them grow is an honor 🫶🏽
Father’s Day is June 16th - might open a few more Mini Sessions on June 15th for the dad’s. We’ll see!
Sunday funday except it’s not really that fun cause I’ll be editing the majority of today. Also just got done with a morning beach session - who am I 😅
90% of my clients start the session with “we are kinda awkward” and then proceed to give the best looks and serve bangers (like these) the entire shoot. My response is always this: “if you feel awkward, you are doing it right!” Fun fact: feeling a bit silly and awkward always provides the best, real laughs. Worst case scenario - I’m getting good ass laughs. loving these teasers from yesterday’s shoot 🤌🏽

Safe to say I’m officially a studio photographer.. There’s just something so print worthy about a clean white wall - the images are just screaming “hang me on your walls” and it’s our duty to listen. BRB, might go rent a billboard or something.
