White flowers are so difficult to source this season. We feel very grateful to our vendor teams for all of the miracles they have been manifesting for us and our clients. These beauties are from an August wedding with at So soft and sweet.

Light through the darkness. The world is slowly reopening and restrictions are starting to lift here in Massachusetts. While we are ready, we are also proceeding with optimistic caution. Our team will be selling beautiful fresh flowers next weekend for Mother’s Day and our shop will be officially open to visitors May 1st. We do understand that some of you are still in line for second or even first rounds of vaccines, so we will continue to operate contactless and with our masks on throughout all situations. You can visit our website, ljfloral.com, to pre-order flowers for pickup or delivery. This year we are designing with the beautiful spring blossoms-tulips, ranunculus, hyacinth, along with peonies and some unique surprises. We can not wait to see you and see our community flourish again!

Spring blossoms are so much fun to design with. Combinations of soft and bright petals liven up classic designs and bring a playfulness to the traditional. Fresh spring bulbs bring so much energy to the room. If the temperature and weather in New England were not so predictably unpredictable, I would live for this spring wedding season!

Chuppah in action.

Show-stopping Anemone and its' friend the garden rose. Anemone, the wind flower, is a tricky little flower; they are very delicate and require a little more care and attention when designing with them. Their stems can be very fragile. They also can arrive with tiny blossoms that barely open, which is why we often order extra blossoms, when they are requested. They can sometimes over power a design, so we like to utilize them as an accent flower, dancing around the arrangement. When all conditions are right and the blossoms open- they are so stunning!

Drumlin Farm is magic! Next Tuesday night we are teaching a flower harvesting and designing course with the lovely Emma Scudder of @massaudubon at the farms; which are accessible by commuter rail too (for all of our city sprites).
