I love to cater small, intimate dinner parties and weddings as it allows me to be 100% hands on from start to finish. I have chosen to stay small for this reason. I am with the bride/hostess from the menu planning, to site scouting, to preparation to overseeing the final event. Our goal at Catherine's Catering is to go the extra mile to accommodate any need you have.

Owner of Catherine’s Catering, Catherine Gettier: I started my culinary career at age 5, with my first restaurant under the kitchen table thanks to my very patient and creative parents. Today, I am a French-trained chef… I studied as an apprentice in Paris at La Varenne, Ecole de Cuisine. After many years of traveling and cooking, my husband, Michael, and I came to Virginia Beach to be closer to our large, extended family and continue our pursuit of creating culinary delights.
Cooking and creating the perfect event continues to be my passion and purpose. I’m generally well-received and successful at what I do because I am 100% hands on with my work. I love working with people. We believe that the quality of our food and our integrity set our business apart from the competition.
