“We had the absolute best time getting hitched at this venue. Aly helped execute on everything, including coordinating day of vendors, and it was perfect. Guests arrived via shuttles (ours stayed in Salida, no issues with 120ish folks finding places to stay - look at Blue Coyote Ranch for tons of capacity for entire wedding party/family), and it was a blast for them from start to finish. Get off shuttle, grab a drink, attend beautiful ceremony in the field with the sound of the river coming from behind and iconic mountain views in the front, cocktail hour outside enjoy the views, and then the most fun time inside the beautiful barn for dinner and dancing. Literally no negative notes.

We were worried that our guests who travelled from out of town would be annoyed by the distance haha, but seemingly 50%+ of the guests have photos from the venue as their social media pics / holiday card photos, and dang near everyone commented that the wedding venue was one of the most beautiful/fun they’ve ever been to. And you can see the literal Milky Way when standing in the field at night. If people weren’t on the dance floor (book DJ Cyn from Denver, absolute banger after banger), they were standing in the field with a drink gazing up at the skies.

Anyway, highly recommend you book this place and work with Aly. Wouldn’t change a thing about our day!”

Meet Gracie and Teague….our farm dogs. They both love the freedom of the farm and Gracie can't help as a 100% Black Lab, but take morning noon and night baths in Howard Creek, the Arkansas and or the pond! The name Teague honors the original Family that moved from North Carolina to Northern Indiana who paid to have our barn constructed in 1861 on over 200 acres of land near Wasatch Indiana.

We have a few tours today for 2024 couples! I love doing tours! I love walking this property and sharing this venue with potential clients! It’s such a fun time to get to walk, talk and get to know them and their vision!!! We know we are not the right fit for everyone…..but damn…….We feel so honored every time we are chosen to host a wedding! Looking forward to meeting the couples coming today…..and in the future!!!!!

Howard Creek Farm - A Rustic, Yet Elegant Wedding Barn Venue

Our barn was originally built in 1861 in Northern Indiana. We moved and rebuilt it in Howard, Colorado in 2019 to become a rustic yet elegant backdrop to wedding celebrations. Our wedding barn is ideal for couples looking to frame their memorable event with the simple beauty of the outdoors and the vintage charm of an old barn.

Located just 15 minutes outside of Salida, Colorado we offer an intimate space for your guests for your ceremony and reception. Our 1890's 11 acre property is an active farm complete with honey bees, growing hops, hay pastures and more. We are located on the Arkansas River and have gorgeous views of the 13,000 foot Twin Sister peaks of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range.
