Tahja's Gemütlichkeit Oktoberfest German Dance and Music Entertainment

If you are looking for fun and exceptional German Entertainment for Oktoberfest, you need: Tahja's Gemütlichkeit German Show Gemütlichkeit: A state of coziness and intimacy; a an unhurried pace to counter the frenetic speed of modern life. International entertainer Tahja, known for her varied unique cultural talents and vivacious stage personality, will captivate your audience with German songs, folkloric dances, music, comedy and culture, all creatively weaved into an exciting interactive transport to Oktoberfest! Entertainment duration: one to three hours with non stop music. The multi-lingual and multi-talented Tahja exuberantly sings in German as well as plays the guitar, accordion, and with her partner performs authentic folkloric dances. Her partner emcees, interact with the crowd, dances, and assists with audience participation. The show is creatively augmented with history of the songs & dances, as well interesting historical, geographical, and relevant social commentaries of German life. Comedy, laughter, fun and light-heartedness is an important aspect of our entertainment. Your guests will be invited to participate as we teach them some of the fun-loving regional dances of Germany, Austria & Switzerland. We are dressed in authentic colorful Bavarian style German costumes We use a “State of the art” Bose sound system which creates a clear and evenly balanced sound throughout the performance area. You and your guests will feel as though you have been transported magically to a Bier Garden in the midst of Munich's Oktoberfest, swaying in your seats with Bierstein in hand! "Whirling Passion" original music and choreography by Tahja This song started as a simple three chord song written in the car in the early 90's on the way to a performance as a song to play before going on break for the band “YaSalaam”, our world music ensemble performing music in 34 different languages from 40 diverse cultures, Referred to as “Break Song”, we played a more expanded version at the end of a show to feature each musician as they were individually introduced. I never imagined the song would one day become a performance piece. When I added dancers to our show, the dancers also needed to be introduced, so I choreographed “Break Song”. Inspired by the Sevillanas folk dances of Spain, combined with the sensuality of belly dance movements and whirling skirts of dancing gypsies, my desire was to express the beauty of individuality concurrent with the joyful synergy of group dynamic creating a kaleidoscope of whirling colors. Thus the name of the song was changed from “Break Song” to “Whirling Passion”. I am delighted to share with you the music and dance of “Whirling Passion”, to remember the beauty of all the transitions and seasons of our lives: from the fast and furious, to the quieter moments of the “taqsim” (rhythmless solo) which bring us deeper within ourselves, and the rhythm of the drum that ties us to our own heart beat. Dedicated to my mother who transitioned to the Great Beyond: we are all connected in this life of Whirling Passion. I hope you enjoy my first music video and feel free to share it with your friends.
