Our portable luxury restroom trailer is available for rent. The perfect barn for your perfect day

My wife, Abbey, and I both grew up on farms in Wisconsin.

With his and her entrances, privacy stalls, hot water and climate controlled environment, our bathroom trailer provides a clean and sanitary option for events up to 500 people. We both chose careers that lead us away from the farm and into the cities, where our paths eventually crossed. We got married and made a very nice home together, and soon after brought a little baby boy into it. Although we

lived in a great area and enjoyed many things the city had to offer, each visit to our families farms made us want to return. It was this love for the farm and our desire to raise our children there that made us decide to sell our house and find a farm to buy. That is what lead us to this beautiful place near Delavan! A few years ago, the previous owners of this farm cleaned out the barn in order for their son to have his wedding reception here. They eventually started allowing other people to have their weddings and receptions here, which laid the ground work for this old white rustic barn to become an amazing venue for couples to celebrate their day with their family and friends. Before they bought this farm, it was a dairy farm for about 75 years. The house and original part of the barn were built around 1920, creating a nearly century old gem that stands out at the front of 35 acres. Many of the buildings are still on the property, providing a very well-kept setting that is ideal for weddings and photography. Though it was the homestead where a couple settled their family and built a home, for many in our state’s history, it was the farmstead that provided for the family and made the home possible. The farmstead was the center of the families life, where everyone worked together to make it succeed, and provided the ideal setting for children to learn to work and play. It was these values and traditions that made us name our venue ‘The Farmstead’. At The Farmstead, we want to create an amazing setting for you to enjoy your special day with your family and friends. We have tables and chairs for up to 200 people to come and gather. We also work with each couple to allow them to make this day exactly what they want it to be. With no minimum purchases or vendor requirements, we provide a great setting that is also affordable. Although the doors at our venue are closing, the doors on our luxury restroom trailer will remain open. That is as long as you rent the trailer for an event. If you stop and try to use them you'll find the doors locked and you'll still be in need of a bathroom. But if you are hosting an event and you want quality restrooms for your guests, then reach out to check for availability.

It's hard to believe it has already been 5 years since we bought this beautiful property and turned it into such a desirable venue. We have had so many great couples and families come here to celebrate weddings or other family events and have formed amazing relationships and friendships with countless people along the way. We took great pride in providing a nice and affordable place for people to celebrate one of the biggest days of their lives. Many local vendors and businesses benefited each time we held an event. And we were able to make the improvements to our barn and property to keep it in the Walworth County landscape for decades to come. Being able to use our barn as a venue came as a huge benefit to countless people each year.

However, we are announcing a huge change in the way we operate our venue going forward. We are not completely closing our doors, but 2023 was the last full season that we will be operating our barn as a venue. This change was a difficult decision to make, however much of the decision was not ours to make. As much as I would like get into the details about everything here, that post will come another day. This post is about announcing our change and also to let everyone know about the exciting new way we will be using our barn starting in 2024!

Starting next year we will be using our barn venue as a means of fundraising. We will be opening our doors to allow a very limited number of weddings or other family events each year, with all proceeds going directly to a specified cause. For 2024, we will be booking out only two dates for weddings or other family style events. The proceeds from those two bookings will go directly to St. Andrews Parish School in Delavan to get a much needed refinishing of the gym floor.
