I can’t tell you how many times I made my mother take me to see Popeye at the theater when I was a kid. But it was a lot. I know she was known for many roles and accomplishments including her stellar scream queen performance in the Shining. But to me she’ll always be Olive Oyl. Rest in peace Shelley Duvall. May your SweetHaven be everything you want it to be.

How did you get into drawing caricatures?

When people ask: How long have you been drawing caricatures? The short answer is: Since about 9am this morning.

The long answer is: After leaving the sign business in ‘03 I dabbled in drawing editorial cartoons for the local newspaper. I didn’t like my own likenesses, so I bought the book “Lets Toon Caricatures” by Keelan Parham. After scouring thru that, I contacted Keelan with some samples. He graciously invited me to visit his caricature stands at Walt Disney World, where over a couple visits, I sat in with a couple of his artists and got some insights & tutorials into their methods. Soon after that I made the leap to caricature, drawing for a summer at Story Land, NH. Since then, I’ve discovered that my new found caricature abilities, combined with my sense of humor & rapport with people made me a good fit for LIVE party caricatures!

Hence, the birth of Party Time Caricatures! Trained in Orlando, featured at Story Land, Now available for YOUR PARTY!
