Happy Valentine's Day!
Take a peek at how I set up our dinner table for our celebration at home. Read on for tips on creating an enchanting Valentine's table:
*Colors: I chose the classic Valentine's Day color pallette to set the mood- red, black and white with hints of gold
*Black and white patterned plates to provide visual interest on the table elevating the look from simple to playful
*Bare black table to highlight the black decorative elements of the plates and to provide a contrast to the bold red charger plates, red roses and red taper candles
*Gold adds elegance to the table. I used gold flatware and solid ivory placemats which shimmers a sibtle gold with the lights
*Add special touches to personalize the table like the "I love you" black and white vase centerpiece and a matching "I love you" light blanket to tie the Valentine theme together I draped the blanket on the chair for use in case it gets chilly.
*Gold chocolate truffles on heart-shaped containers- a great miniature gift
*Incorporate soft candlelight to create a romantic atmosphere. I used black candelabras on each side of the table that has a scroll pattern similar to the plates.
*Roses, Roses, Roses- the timeless symbol of love, affection and admiration

WE WERE BOOKED FOR A DIFFERENT EVENT ON THE DAY OF THIS PARTY. That was not a problem for the Host. He came up with a solution- to have us set-up the table the day before, and he would take care of laying out the desserts and candy on the day of. He just really wanted to work with us, and we were truly honored and humbled.
So, here is A RUSTIC RED AND BLACK BUFFALO CHECK Holiday Table display without the sweets, except for one glass jar filled with chocolate bars.

We set-up a DIY Caramel Apple Bar last Halloween for Gunder company, this was our 2nd year working with them. We brought the caramel, a variety of toppings, and melted white and dark chocolate.. The best part is the cosistent feedback we received that our caramel apples are the best they have tasted!

Through the course of our conversation, I found out that she loved all things chocolate, loved music, and was an avid collector of chinoiserie. This is how the design idea for this dessert bar came about.
