DESTINATION WEDDINGS 🩵

Full planning and design but away from home! Clearly, we love traveling to Italy and doing weddings there but we also love going to Mexico, Hawaii and the Caribbean to celebrate with our couples. We do a lot of quick getaways to Florida as well.

From finding the right location and venue to building your vendor team and designing all the pretty details to vendor & guest communication, we love working with our couples to plan their dream destination wedding. Where are you envisioning your big day (or weekend)?

WEDDING MANAGEMENT QUESTIONS ⬇️

It’s not just day of coordination, it’s so much more than that. We start at 60 days out so we have more time to understand all the things you’ve planned, what your expectations are, so we can coordinate and work with your venue and vendors and get all those final details buttoned up for you.

• Will you create my timeline? — Yes we will work closely with you to create a timeline that makes sense and has enough buffer in it. We will work with you photo/video team, caterers and entertainers to merge their needs with yours so everything works seamlessly.

• Can I reach out to you before the 60 days? — Yes. Communication is important so if you’re needing some advice or a professional opinion on something you’re working on, we’re here to help.

• Do you set up and break down? — Yes during those final days, we talk through all the details and logistics of your layout, design and decor and any rentals so we can manage both set up and tear down. We’ll make sure all your design details and personal items are where they should be and send you home with what is yours.

• My ceremony and reception is in the same room so there’s a room flip. Will you help with that? — Of course! Depending on guest count and amount of details you’ve planned, we’ll have the right amount of KMC team members to help your venue and catering flip the space.

✨ HELLO! KMC HERE! 👋🏼

It’s been some time since I’ve said hi! We’re about to start the second half of our wedding season and we are so excited for all the gorgeous events on the horizon.

I thought I would take today to answer popular questions In asked by new couples. If you have more I should add, feel free to message me!

• “How long have you been doing weddings?” Although KMC is about to celebrate its 7th anniversary, I’ve been doing this for over 16 years and have learned so much between Florida and Ohio and now destination weddings.

• “What’s your favorite part of the wedding day?” When I see my couples for the first time when they’re all dressed up and beaming. THEN when we get to bring our design couples in to see their reception space before all the guests come in.

• “How many weddings do you take a year?” Although our team takes more total, I personally only work on 8-10 full planning and design weddings per year. This includes destination weddings and elopements. We love our travel in this house.

💕 Wow, this year has been off to a quick start and our season is getting ready to begin next month! I thought I would show my face here (since it’s been a while) and say hello to you all!

We have a lot of beautiful events coming up this year including two weddings in Italy and I’m so excited to see all the designs come to life!

A little bit of info that I’m asked a lot about me or how KMC works …

What’s your favorite part of the process?
👉 While yes, designing is the fun part, my favorite time is the beginning. Right after a couple books and we start to get to know each other and I find out all about what makes them “them” and what their must-haves are for the big day. Building their perfect vendor team really gets us pumped and seeing who they choose from our referrals is really exciting.

How many events do you do a year?
👉 We do 10 full service planning & design clients a year, so the calendar fills up quickly. We also offer wedding management and smaller events as well.

What’s the best part about designing?
👉 Best thing is when a client really leans into our ideas to make the evening flow and the aesthetic unique and memorable. We love to create different layouts, use patterns and lighting and bring in little personal details in fun ways to customize each event.

Why do you book a certain number of events?
👉 We limit the number of design couples because it allows us to give each event the focus and time needed to make each event a success. It also allows for more travel during the year not only for events but for wellbeing and to get ideas for future events. Travel is very important to me and that’s why we started for destination weddings and elopements. Why not marry two passions?
