here’s a look at my first wedding back since life changed, and it was a great one. so grateful for the opportunity to work with caroline and her family on her special day. i could sense her disappointment at the beginning of the day, which was to be expected. it wasn’t what she originally planned and dreamed up. but, she remained positive and her energy seemed to shift as the day progressed. and from the look of the dreamy pictures from , this beautiful couple had a day to remember. and that makes my heart so happy! ❤️

every night when i put my son to bed, i hop under his covers to discuss the day. he quickly cuddles up to me, pressing his nose against my face. he likes to guess what products i’ve used to cleanse and moisturize that night (it’s really quite adorable, he grabs my head and squishes his face to mine). the brightening cleanser from is his personal favorite. he’ll say: aww the strawberry one! the natural strawberry scent is reminiscent of my strawberry shortcake play toy days. but even more than the delightful smell, that both my son and i love, the wash is moisturizing and firming! i do not like using cleansers that feel like they strip my skin, but i do like feeling like i’ve actually effectively washed it. this achieves that, and the price point of this product is really great ($34). DM if you’re interested in trying it! i have a feeling i am going to be sharing it with more than just my husband soon. 👦🏼

today i had my first bride back in the studio, and i felt like this inside; so happy to hear about wedding details, and see dress pictures, and talk about what it’s all about, love! her plans didn’t go unchanged, she had to change venues, states and even guest size, but for her, it was about making it happen now. everyone’s choice and plan is unique, and equally important and valuable. for all you brides out there, navigating this process, i am thinking about you and cheering you on, whatever you may decide.

i love a LOT of things in this photo. i love the bride’s smile and laugh (wish you could hear it), the fact that she’s holding her sister’s hand (don’t let go), the way her mom is looking at her for the first time (gah i can’t), her earrings (aww man those earrings!), but there’s one thing you can’t see that i also love. sarah is a nurse. our nurses are so brave and strong today and every day. lucky for me, i am fortunate to work with a lot of nurses (the beauty of recommendations!). so grateful for all you do. happy national nurse’s day!
