Hey there friends! So, this might be a bit of a lengthy post...we have some things to share with you all.

As most of you know, in 2021, our world was turned upside down by our son's cancer diagnosis. We spent a majority of 2021 in turmoil. His chemotherapy treatments were extremely taxing on him. Our family unit was separated every two weeks, with one of us in the hospital for a week with Nick, while the other handled home and our other children and commitments. Between treatment, appointments, scans, blood and plasma infusions, his amputation (and the severe infection that followed), etc., our time was extremely limited. We were able to finish off our 2021 weddings that we had booked in 2020, but, in 2022 we scaled back significantly.

We dialed back the amount of weddings and general sessions to play it safe. We feared we weren't out of the woods of treatment, scans, and things of that nature. The past two weeks our lives have taken a more positive and uplifting turn. Nick received his permanent prosthetic after 10 months of being confined to a wheelchair and crutches. He also had surgery to remove his chemo port! After a year and a half of chaos, life, has settled. We can breathe again.

What does that mean for our business? Well, we have officially opened up our 2023 and 2024 calendars for weddings! To say that we have missed it would be an understatement. We miss getting to meet new people, exploring new places for our engagement sessions and the chaos of a wedding day. We have seriously missed our creative outlet and the joy it brings us. We are also starting to train 2 new assistants! Our podcast should, if all goes well, be making a return in the near future.

Hey there friends! It's been a minute, we know. Things are finally (hopefully?!) starting to slow down just a bit for us. We have been constantly reminded this past year just how amazing our clients are. This gorgeous couple is no exception!

Heather and Tyler had a stunning, classic wedding that showcased just how beautiful they are together. We had an amazing time with them, their family and friends. We loved every moment working with them!

Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to capture your wedding day. You guys were total troopers through the rain, the flickering lights and normal chaos of a wedding! We hope you guys had an amazing honeymoon!

You know that feeling when you're reading a book, and the main character is facing trial after trial, tribulation after tribulation? You know that they're the main character, so they are definitely going to make it through this, right? They have too much on the line to give up... Too many people counting on them. So much of what keeps us reading is the need to see some glimmer of a happy ending begin to unfold. You want to see the hero happy. You need to see them win.

Thats what it's been like for us watching Liz's life unfold for the last several years. We have worked so closely with Liz for years now in many different capacities, and she is a part of our family. We have wanted to see just how great this life could become for her. The last year has been just that!!

Last Saturday, we watched her close the book on her origin story and begin a new book altogether. We were so overcome with joy bearing witness to her fairy tale wedding with Tyler. We all celebrated well into the middle of the night, and with any luck, some other stories may have been written that night ❤️ Liz and Tyler, thank you so much for letting us join you for such an amazing celebration!! We can't wait to see where your adventure takes you from here.

Heather and Tyler...what can we say? We LOVED your engagement session. Seriously. Your chemistry, your love, your laughter. We left your session talking about how amazing you two are together. How much we love witnessing, well, love.

Thank you for sticking it out while we waited on the sun to set. For allowing us to freak out about whether the clouds and color would work out in our favor. And, when they did, you didn't laugh at us when we acted crazy about it. You were amazing.

We can't wait for your wedding. We can't wait for the opportunity to hang out with you again and get to know you and your story even better. We hope you love your sneak (even if it's a few days later than we planned.)

This couple, you guys, they were AMAZING. Seriously amazing. Everything about their day, from where they got ready, to where they held their ceremony and reception was incredible. Every detail planned for and SO much thought, love and energy went into their day.

Even with the threat of freezing temperatures and possible freezing rain, they stayed true to what they had envisioned for their day. And it paid off, in a huge way. We absolutely LOVED working with them, and honestly, they can't get rid of us now. We are FRIENDS lol!!!

So, give us all of the Savanah weddings (haunted buildings and all lol!) Kaitlyn Shuman Jackson, Ginny Jackson we love you both and can't thank you enough for trusting us with such a special day (and seriously, you can't get rid of us now! lol!!)

Hey there friends!

It's been a while. Again. We are trying to navigate our new "normal" and it's been a challenge, to say the least. We hope that everyone had a beautiful holiday season! Can anyone else believe that 2022 is right around the corner?!!

We are super excited to share a sneak from this incredible December wedding! You guys, we adore these two. They were amazing to work with and stayed so calm, patient and kind throughout the day, despite a few hiccups and the rain! Thankfully the weather held out for their beautiful ceremony. And ya'll, how gorgeous are they?! A special thank you to Tanya Mixon at The Barn at Acorn Ridge, for yet again, being amazing to work with.

Is it just us, or, has this year flown by? We seriously can't believe that it's already November! This gorgeous couple will be getting married next month and we are SO excited!

We had an amazing time with Lacey and Dustin. They are complete naturals in front of the camera! The love they have for one another is a beautiful thing to witness and capture. They were SO sweet and totally chill with everything we asked of them (even when I was sitting on the top of a ladder, practically hanging over them lol!) And you guys, that SKY!? Holy WOW. We couldn't believe our luck when the sun started to set!!

Lacey, Dustin, we can't wait for your wedding! Thank you for being so awesome and working with us during the past few months of chaos in our lives. You guys are the BEST!

Hey there franns! It's been a bit (again), but, we are back with another sneak. Sorry for our periods of silence, things are still a bit chaotic on our end.

You guys, this senior session was exactly what we needed to spark our creativity. When this gorgeous girl and her mom told us what they wanted for her senior photos we KNEW we were the perfect match. A record store, an arcade and completely out of the box? YES PLEASE!!! We connected with her immediately and knew that this was going to be an amazing session.

Korie blew us away and was so, SO much fun to work with. It was seriously difficult to pick a few images for sneaks because she NAILED her entire session!

We have captured a lot of weddings, hundreds at this point. Each one leaves its own unique imprint on us as photographers and as people. This wedding in particular was incredibly special for us..

See, we've known Jonathan and his family for a very long time. He, along with his brother Owen, are family to us. We have literally watched him grow up. He has also spent time learning the passion for photography, and film making. He has assisted us at weddings, family sessions, and combat sporting events. He has even spent the last 6 years training Brazilian Jui Jitsu with Mac. We will never be able to express how proud we are of the man he has become, and the husband, and father that he will continue to grow into.

Capturing such an important milestone in his and Meagan's lives was more than an honor. We don't quite have the words for it, honestly. I'm pretty sure we cried a few times (or more.)

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Bracewell, we love you both and wish you a lifetime of happiness!

Throughout our years of capturing weddings we have met incredible people, been to amazing locations and witnessed pure, true love. We walk away from each and every wedding day feeling bonded with the people we work with. How could we not, though? We spend an entire day with a couple, witnessing intimate and touching moments, getting to know them, their families and their friends, and being completely immersed in their world for a while. To call it an honor doesn't seem to do it justice. It goes so much deeper than that, for us.

This intimate and sweet wedding was no different. Rich and Trina decided to have their ceremony at their gorgeous lake home, surrounded by their children, granddaughter and son in law. It was an amazing thing to be a part of. There was so much warmth, love, and family and every second of capturing it was heartwarming. We were allowed a little glimpse of this couple's life together and we are so thankful.

Hey there friends, it's been a while.

Our lives these past few months have been beyond chaotic. We are still in the midst of chemo treatment for our oldest, Nick, and life has continued to throw curve ball, after curve ball, at us. Needless to say, trying to keep our website, Facebook and Instagram updated has been tough. However, as wedding season is starting to peak, we will have fresh content to share with you all! We are still responding to messages, emails and phone calls/texts, so, don't hesitate to contact us. If we don't respond right away, please be patient with us, we promise to get to you :)

This past weekend we had the honor to photograph this gorgeous couple at their big wedding (they had a small, intimate ceremony in March due to Covid.) Everything about this wedding was beautiful. The couple, their families, the venue, ALL of it! It felt so good to be back in the fray of a wedding day, every single second of it.

A special thanks to our associate photographer, Owen. We couldn't do it without him!

We have truly missed capturing couples and we are so happy that wedding season is upon us, at last!

Hey there fraans!

It's been a week full of doctor's appointments and getting prepared for our son's second round of chemo next week, so, we're posting later in the day than usual. We seriously couldn't wait to share a sneak for this incredible couple.

You may remember Kristina Fulcher and Bradley's engagement session that we shared a few months ago. You know, the one where we had NO idea what we were getting ourselves into with the hike to the top of the mountain?! We knew then that we loved this sweet couple and that we would forever cherish the friendship created on that trail.

The moment we arrived they immediately checked on our son and on how we were doing. They provided words of comfort and support and that will forever mean the world to us. Like we said earlier this week, we have the best clients in the world and the bonds that we form, well, we don't have the words for how special they are.

Kristina and Bradley have an amazing love story and having the opportunity to capture it was a beautiful thing. They are genuine, kind, warm and loving individuals, the kind that you want to surround yourself with. We laughed, we cried and we celebrated in their love.

Now, the first picture in their sneak was a doozy to put together and to nail down, BUT, with the help of Kristina, Bradley, the amazing Tanya Mixon and Becca we were able to pull it off. We are still amazed that one of us didn't fall down lol!!

Hey there fraans!

Before we get started on this amazing wedding, we want to take a second to share something about how incredible our clients are. Last month our oldest son was diagnosed with cancer and our lives were turned completely upside down. Our families and friends rallied around us, but, so did our clients, this amazing couple included. The relationships that we have created over the years have always meant a lot to us, and this only made us love all of them even more.

The day of Laney Smith Johnson and Tucker's wedding we had to leave our son in Atlanta at the hospital and naturally, as any parents would be, we were beside ourselves with worry. Laney, Tucker and their families immediately scooped us up with love, compassion, empathy and understanding. On one of the most important days of their lives, they took us in and comforted us. This speaks volumes to the kind of people that they are; warm, kind, generous and, well, incredible.

We cry at just about every wedding we shoot (yeah, we're sappy like that) and this one? We are pretty sure we cried even more. The way that Laney and Tucker love each other and the way that they are loved by those around them is a beautiful and very special thing. Witnessing and capturing that kind of love is something that we will never get tired of.

Laney, Tucker, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for allowing us to be a part of your day. While we know that sounds generic and cliché, we really do mean it. We felt like family and we will never forget that. We hope that you had an AMAZING honeymoon and that you love your sneak!

We also went to give a special thank you to Tanya Mixon - if you don't know who Tanya is, she owns The Barn at Acorn Ridge, an AMAZING venue. We have worked with a lot of venue owners over the years and we can say, without a doubt, that Tanya is THE best. She is there every step of the way for her couples and the vendors working the wedding. Seriously, she is incredible! We love you Tanya!

Hey there fraaans!

We know we are posting WAY later than usual, but, we are learning that when we have a free moment to post, edit, whatever, we BETTER take it! Life has been pure chaos these past several weeks and we are trying to catch up as we can.

So, without further ado, let us introduce you to this gorgeous couple! We had the absolute honor of photographing Psymon again, this time for his senior prom (cue the water works!!) We had so much fun with him, his girlfriend and their amazing families. We managed to beat the rain for a short bit, thank goodness!

These two are SO sweet together, and, totally stunning! Psymon, I hope you love your sneak! Be on the lookout for your gallery coming very soon! We love you!

Hey there fraaans!

We know we've been super quiet, and we will be posting soon as to why. For now though, we wanted to share a sneak from this amazing prom session! You guys, these two were AMAZING and were down to get right by the water's edge in their prom attire. You guys know us, if you are good to go, we will go as far as you will allow us to lol!

We worked with this stunning girl in the past, capturing her when she was TINY. Now, here she is, a gorgeous young woman! It's moments like this that make us realize just how quickly time passes us by!

We absolutely love the Rozier family and getting to work with them is always an honor! We love you guys SO much!!!!

Hey fraanns! Okay, seriously, is anyone else's 2021 crazy hectic? We have been traveling a lot for work, going to a million different appointments and barely have a second to just SIT lol!! So, while we have a moment to just breathe, we wanted to hop on here and share a sneak from an incredible micro wedding that we captured last Saturday!

You guys, these two were AMAZING. Just simply amazing. They were so kind, so sweet and SO in love. And talk about natural in front of a camera! They blew us away!!

They had a beautiful, intimate wedding at their home surrounded by family and loved ones. It was so special and incredible to capture. Being able to witness these kinds of moments is what makes our job so amazing.

Michael, Sarah, we hope you love your sneaks and we can't wait to work with you again!!

Hey fraans! We are back with another sneak and another amazing engagement session! We traveled to South Carolina to meet up with this adorable couple and had the BEST time with them!

We started our session in a beautiful garden and just as they were about to close, Laney showed us a picture of the peach tree farms 30 minutes down the road. We didn't even think twice lol! We KNEW we had to go and do some more of their session there. You guys, there were hundreds of rows of peach trees in full bloom. It was incredible!

We seriously could have captured these two all day. They were so natural in front of the camera and so CUTE together! Just look at their smiles you guys! Can you say TOTALLY in love?! They were so amazing to hang out with and get to know. We really, really loved our time with them. We laughed together (Mac nearly died choking on a tortilla chip laughing at one of Tucker's stories) and got to know more about them and their story. It's one of our favorite things about working with our couples!

Laney, Tucker, we had such an amazing with you guys and we can't wait for your wedding day!!! Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for taking us out to eat and for spending so much of your time with us!!

Hey there fraans!! Oh boy do we have a sneak and a story for you guys! You see, we started planning this engagement session a couple of months ago with this amazing couple and we *thought* we knew what we were getting ourselves into. Yeah, not so much lol! We are just warning you, this is going to be LONG.

We met up at the base of the trail that leads to this amazing mountain peak, ready to tackle what we thought was a moderate and relatively quick hike. The first half of the hike was what you could consider "moderate." But then, THEN, we turned a corner. What was looming in front of us was an incredibly steep climb up and an elevation change of 800 feet. We were all kind of frozen in shock and staring at the monstrosity in front of us. A couple of people were climbing down as we stood there and when we asked them if we were near the top they let us know that no, we weren't even close.

We just KNEW our clients were ready to STRANGLE us lol!!! We had no clue that this particular hike was this strenuous, or, this long. We were all laughing to the point of nearly crying. So, after hyping ourselves up and taking a rest, we started climbing. We climbed, we rested, we hydrated, we laughed, we shared stories and we climbed some more.

Reaching the top of this mountain was worth every moment of our journey there. Holy WOW you guys! The view was breathtaking and didn't even seem real! We spent a long time on the top of that mountain taking in the views, shooting and exploring. We couldn't have asked for a better couple to go on this adventure with us. Kristina and Bradley were AMAZING, brave and just all around awesome to work with. We felt like we had known them for YEARS and loved every second with them.

This, this right here, is what it's all about for us. We adore our clients and when you go on adventures with us, well, we love you guys even more! Life is full of these little moments, little adventures, little hiccups and it's what makes our time here, on this earth, worth it. We want to go on adventures with all of our clients and leave them with a story to share and photos to prove it.

Kristina, Bradley, you guys were AMAZING. You braved standing on the edge of the mountain, walked on unstable rocks, hiked miles and ROCKED your session. We loved our time with you and we are down to do it again, just tell us when lol!!! Thank you for being so awesome and for the incredible dinner ;)
