A long overdo tribute to the coolest, and maybe most overlooked wedding vendor out there :: live painters (specifically .myra.event.painting if she is free for your big day)⁣

Your wedding day is THE MOST exciting day (and all of the feels type of day). I simply love the idea of having a piece of artwork from your celebration to hang in your home forever, however, the end result/gift is only one benefit. Having a live painter at your wedding is also entertainment for your guests while also adding a level of class to your entire event. ✨⁣

⁣⁣your vibe attracts your tribe (for your wedding day too!!!)⁣⁣

For real!! Your wedding is a super important day (understatement) and it is not the time to be compromising / booking vendors on a whim (there will always be a vendor for your day so flush any feelings of being pressured away). ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
You should book vendors that you vibe with, that understand you, that you trust, that are genuinely excited for your wedding. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
TLDR: just be you & don’t book a vendor that you don’t vibe with. ⁣⁣

P.S. these two booked me about 1 month before their date & they were my vibe so much that I spent my bday working (didn’t really feel like work though) their wedding!

⁣Status: currently emotional thinking about 2022.⁣

I am a wedding planner / designer / coordinator / whatever you want to call me because it fuels me. ⁣
⁣
Many of you may not know but weddings are not my full time gig - and that is intentional. I take on a certain number of weddings each year - I make sure that I’m a good fit for my couples and that they are a good fit for me. I want my business to feel meaningful, fulfilling, intentional, and I want to be completely present for what my clients need. This year, I’ve done that and more, better than I ever have (of course, I also have learned a ton, shed some tears, and all of that good stuff too🤗). ⁣

I think this may have been my longest hiatus. I am here and I am well🙂 (and here are two amazing people who tied the knot in September).⁣⁣

These last 2 months I have spent time letting my mind and body rest, being especially thoughtful of my time on the weekends that are so precious (wedding vendors, you know what I mean!). I also lost one of my favorite people unexpectedly so I have been healing.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
I’m thankful to be a part of so many “that was the best day” days! How many other people are gifted such a beautiful thing? I’m landing on thanks this year - even in hard moments, I can find a reason to be thankful.⁣⁣

Now, I’m packing my bags with my hubby for a much needed vacation (send me some good energy so that I can handle being away from our precious small guy for an entire week!).⁣⁣

Have a first look - it’s totally not for everyone but if you have a first look, you get to see your soon to be husband/wife sooner and get more time together.⁣

Golden hour photos - you’ll love these photos but also love getting to escape away from your event for some 1-1 time with your hunny.⁣

A last dance - my new personal fav. Save a last dance, including a song you really really love, for just the newlyweds (you could have your guests surround you or even make it a private last dance with no guests).⁣

There are an infinite amount of things you can incorporate into your day to ensure you are able to soak in all of the moments of your wedding day.⁣

This wedding was over a year ago now but I’m still reminiscing over the best pair who started their forever partnership by the beautiful cliffs. ⁣

I revamped the little website this past month, including a new logo, to make sure my vibe is attracting my tribe. I am so proud to book couples who are so well suited for my energy and areas of expertise - here’s to continuing that. 🥂 ⁣

Over half of my calendar is filled for 2023, and 2024 inquires have begun coming in (can you believe it???).

A first look for most couples is the 𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩 moment they need before the big events. If you still want to take a pause but also don’t want to compromise the actual first look being down the aisle, you can do a first touch and even write eachother some sweet words to 𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 ruin your makeup (don’t worry, I’ll bring the tissues).⁣

First and foremost, shout out to all of my couples who don’t mind the baby giggles during our calls. Sometimes it is quiet but sometimes my precious family is on the other side of the office. 🙂⁣⁣

For me, family has always come first but now it feels so much deeper - becoming a mom has given me an even stronger North Star. What does this mean for you? Definitely extra tears during any mother/son dances. ⁣⁣

If you want to have a donut while you’re getting ready ( why didn’t you do this?) or hide from guests during cocktail hour to catch your breath, do it! Whatever makes you happy, comfortable, and in the moment is what you should do on your wedding day.⁣⁣

I had legit tears during this wedding - everyone was so kind and loving, especially the bride and groom. I’m so freaking excited to see the gallery from but this photo alone fills my heart. A huge shout out to photographers who have lifted up their couples up while shooting, provided sneaks after the wedding, and worked late nights to get these captured moments to their couples in a beautiful gallery (and to the vendor team because, hey, we love (understatement) the memories too!).
