Can I be honest with you?

Becoming a mom while running a small business is the toughest thing I’ve ever done. It’s also the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. Some days I feel like I have to choose between being a mom or being a business owner, which has been tough to navigate, but we figure things out as we go lol. It’s so easy to play the comparison game and to feel “behind” if I don’t keep up on social media or book as many weddings as some might, it’s easy to feel like life and business are moving on without me while I’m in a season of slowing down to focus a little more attention on my family. BUT then I’m reminded, my goal isn’t to become wealthy, win awards, or be the best, although those things can be great. When I look at these pictures I realize the most important things in life aren’t things, but people and moments like this. I am thankful for this business that allows me to have the freedom to create and the freedom to be a mom! When you support our business, you are supporting my dream of being a small business owner and a present mom/wife.🤍

To all the moms running businesses - keep up the good work. You’re incredible! 🫶🏼

If you don’t know much about me, my name is Paige (hence the name Paige’s Petals)!😉 I have owned Paige’s Petals for 4.5 years and love every bit of the creativity this business brings out of me! I have the best husband who helps me with everything I do and the sweetest 8 month old son! A few of my favorite things include walks and quality time with friends and family! There are so many details that go into your wedding that are easily forgotten! Here are a few things we see people often forget to provide/purchase for their wedding and usually regret it! (Side note: Not every wedding is the same, so if it’s not important to you, you don’t have to have it, but these are things we see commonly overlooked)

✨Have you thought about these?✨
1. Flatlay details to provide your photographer with - flowers, invitation, ring + ring boxes, ribbon, perfume/cologne, earrings, shoes, vow books, etc! (Ask your photographer if they provide any flatlay items) 📸
2. Flower preservation!!! 🌸 THIS IS THE MOST FORGOTTEN SERVICE‼️ Please, please, please, don’t let your flowers die without considering your preservation options! We work directly with and LOVE her work! Be sure to check her out!
3. Comfortable shoes 👟 a late night dance party is so much more fun when you aren’t in pain!
4. Vendor cleanup 👏🏽 if you are using any of our rentals we are now requiring end of the night strike (floral clean up)! Trust me, after a long day and a few drinks no one wants to load up everything and make sure it’s gets back to each vendor in perfect condition! We take that stress off of you!

Thank you guys from the bottom of my heart for considering us to be up for the title of “florist of the year” with .kansascity! For you to write my name in to receive this title means so much more than you know! This year has been challenging, but rewarding, trying to balance being a mom and a business owner but I wouldn’t trade it for the world because it allowed me to work with some of the most incredible people and have such a fun creative outlet! Designing florals for you guys has been such a joy and it truly fills my heart! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for allowing me to do what I love and for championing me on with your votes!! 🤍

A day to reflect on all the great gifts we have been blessed with! This year has brought lots of life’s greatest joys as we welcomed our son into this world and have had such big accomplishments with this business. But even life’s greatest blessings and joys pale in comparison to the hope we have in Jesus and the gift of his life laid down for us! I’m grateful to know him and walk with him, for I know all of life’s blessings flow from his goodness to us!

We have officially finished up our 2023 wedding season and now it’s time for me to soak up this sweet holiday season with my little family!
