The Smith Family Singers as I sit here and reflect on the 18 yrs.

THE SMITH FAMILY SINGERS - We are a mixed Southern Gospel Quartet - Lead - Eddie Smith, Alto - Phebe Smith Scully, Tenor - Caleb Smith, Bass - Chuck Hendrix- We are Southern Gospel, our hope is to bring glory to our LORD in what we sing, say and do !!! that MMQ put on the road together, all the good times, all the laughter, all the hard work, a little bit of sadness - it is hard to think that it

really come to an end in November of 2013 - when chuck said we were not going to continue after the 2012 concert season - it almost knocked me off my feet - he said he had talked to the other guys and they agreed w/ him that they needed to do other things w/ the time it took to keep us on the road as the weekend warriors that we were - I told chuck then that God had not told me to quit, stop, or even slow down - to make this part of the story a little shorter, we are still best of friends and if I needed either of the 3 of them, all I would have to do is make a few phone calls, and they would be there - on to NOW - starting in 2013 I started to rebuild this group - I quickly found it was going to be hard to find a MAN that sang like a woman and wanted to put in the T & E that it would take to rebuild - starting in January 2013 I went through 2 lead singers and a 1st tenor that thought they wanted to sing in a quartet - then found out it was not going to be EASY - nothing in LIFE is easy that happens to be worth anything - God has a way though of putting the RIGHT people together and I am here to testify to that once again - we are now calling ourselves - THE MASTER'S MEN + 1 - we are now a mixed quartet - 3 men a lady and a sound tech - we hope to bring glory to our LORD in what we sing, say and do - we are now booking dates on Saturdays and Sundays - please call me @ 850-232-7809 for more info - LOVE Y'ALL - Eddie Smith

We sure had a great time at the Baker Heritage Festival this morning and have made a short stop at the Ponce de Leon State Park to rest and enjoy this beautiful scenery before going to set up at Otter Creek Church for services. It is just a picture perfect day! We have so much to thank God for!! 🥰

Tomorrow is gonna be a long day but we are looking forward to it! The Smith Family Singers, Eddie Smith, Caleb Smith and Peggy Young Hendrix (Chuck) are heading out early to the Baker Heritage Festival in Baker FL. We will be on stage early but not exactly sure of that time. After lunch we will head to Otter Creek Church in Ponce de Leon FL for a Saturday evening service at 6:00pm. We are looking forward to spending the day with each other and singing for our Savior!

We had a wonderful time of singing and praising Jesus with the Bonifay Church of God family this past Sunday. The fellowship was very special and included a large group of young people who truly loved Jesus and were so attentive to the service and hearing God’s word. We sang, the Preacher preached and prayed for the sick. God is still working and is in control and we must pray for our country during this time to obey His word. Thank you Bonifay Church of God for a beautiful day!!

The Smith Family Singers would like to thank Community Holiness Church for a wonderful morning worship experience this past Sunday. The Holy Spirit was present in a mighty way and all who attended were touched deeply!! God is a right on time God and He filled our hearts with joy and rejuvenation! The lunch as always was exceptional. We have already added your invitation for next year on our calendar and are super excited for the opportunity to go back!!! We are blessed to have two opportunities tomorrow to join in worship with precious church families and friends. During the morning service beginning at 10am, we will be attending Community Holiness Church in DeFuniak Springs FL and singing some good ole’ Southern Gospel songs.

The afternoon we will return home and join 1st Baptist Church of Harold in Milton FL at 5:30pm for more wonderful praise and worship.

It’s gonna be a great day and we look forward to meeting new friends and worshiping our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!

Please come out and join us if you are in the DeFuniak Springs and Milton FL areas. God’s gonna be there and will be so glad to meet you!!

Thank you Berrydale Baptist Church for the invitation to join you on Sunday night for your 5th Sunday celebration! Wow! We were so very blessed to share the evening with you! The fish fry dinner was one of our favorites and your church family were all so warm and friendly. The Holy Spirit filled the church during the worship service and God worked in a mighty way. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We love you all and look forward to being with you again soon!!

We have been blessed with two invitations to share in worship locally tomorrow, SUNDAY, September 29, 2024.

We will be joining Warrington Methodist Church for their service at 10:00am then head to Berrydale Baptist Church in Jay FL tomorrow night at 6:00pm.

We are excited to be able to share God’s message through Southern Gospel songs which tell the story of our Savior Jesus Christ.

If you are in the area of either of these congregations, we would love to have you join us for a full day of great fellowship and worship. Please see below for the service location and times.

We want to thank Pineview Methodist Church in Jay for allowing us the opportunity to serve in your 122 homecoming celebration. The message preached was right on point and encouraged us to keep our faith strong even when we don’t know God’s plan because He is leading us each step of the way. The church family was so very friendly and receptive and showed God’s love in a mighty way and the country cooking for lunch was the absolute best! Thank you all for such a blessed day!! We can’t wait till we see you all again!!🎤🎶🎵

I’m case you haven’t seen this information already, our daddy, grandaddy, uncle, and friend, LEONARD SMITH’S life’s celebration, (Eddie Smith, The Smith Family Singers, Lisa Smith Korade,Joshua Smith, Caleb Smith,Briana Fails, Ryan Scully, Jarrett Scully, Cali Scully, Monica Scully, Joy Smith, Sue Hughes, Chase Hughes, Joshua Hughes, and all the other Smith family from Bainbridge GA and Sylvania GA,) will be celebrated with his family at Faith Chapel Funeral Home on Wednesday, 11/22/23 at 2pm. The family visitation will begin at 12:30pm with friends joining at 1:00pm and the life celebration beginning at 2:00pm. We would love to see all dad’s family and friends join us as we pay our respects and share stories and memories of a wonderful soul that has gone on to share an eternity with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. No man is without sin including our dad. He was no perfect person but he loved Jesus and taught us from a very young age the way to eternal life through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We want to continue spreading God’s message as long we have the breath in us to do so. Please join us on Wednesday 11/22/23 at 2:00pm to celebrate our dad’s life.

I am not sure how many days it is now but it’s a record number for the ladies who are taking care of dad. We are all in awe of proof of God’s power He is showing us. Not that we doubted it one minute but it’s funny how you look at a situation that can be considered a miracle and just say “wow”, how is this happening. I thought in my heart for sure dad would go home to be with Jesus yesterday. Last night at 11pm after his sweet nurse left the room, I noticed dad’s mouth moving from open to shut then opening again. I saw his breathing change as if he were talking trying to push out words. At first, I wanted to run yo the nurse but decided to stay in case he was talking or trying to talk to me. If he was, he was probably trying to tell me yo keep my voice down that he was trying to rest🥰. Anyway, he is still here breathing comfortably. He will go when God is ready. In the meantime, the medical staff can just keep on wondering how he is still here. Maybe God is trying to speak to one of them in a way they can’t deny his presence🙏🥰❤️🥰.

Thank you for having us share the memories of our families both the church and ALL our lifelong friends. I can’t tell you how precious you all have been and always will be to us!!! I can say beyond a shadow of a doubt that the HOLY SPIRIT was at work and hearts were stirred and presented with the gospel’s truth. You are such a blessing and it is evident that God is using you in a mighty way at Ensley!! It was a perfect service and a perfect day!!! We love y’all so VERY MUCH and thank you again for the wonderful fellowship and spirit filled worship!!!!

It was just like we thought it would be at Bush Street Church tonight, a wonderful evening of worship with singing about our Savior, sharing His message through music with some great friends, Ronnie Ward and his group, Canaan Land. Even though it was cold weather outside, it was warm and cozy inside and there was a great crowd of home folks who love Jesus! The Smith Family Singers look forward to going back again soon!!🎶🎵🎤

Thank you for having us share the memories of our families both the church and ALL our lifelong friends. I can’t tell you how precious you all have been and always will be to us!!! So the first auctioneer for tonight at Rocky Creek Tabernacle was the grandson of this gentleman!! They both were awesome and entertaining!!!

Well, we just got home from being with the Rocky Creek Tabernacle folks in Marianna FL for the evening. The setting was informal and, to raise funds for the church projects, they had a cake auction in between the worship service we had in Southern Gospel Singing. God was there and we had a great time. I just had to share some of the fun parts with these small video clips. This was our second time to be with them for this event. The first was two years ago and if you go back far enough on our page, you will hear the lady auctioneer from that night! She was hilarious!! This guy was pretty awesome as well!! I may have to send them one at a time but they are worth a chuckle so watch them please! LOL!!

We did not do our “go live” songs tonight because we were in Molino FL with this AWESOME group!!

Thank you Marcia Bevins for this much clearer video at St. Paul's United Methodist Church tonight! Eddie Smith did a wonderful job getting all those words in and getting the message out! Caleb Smith, you rock on those high notes!! I WOULDN'T TAKE NOTHIN' FOR MY JOURNEY NOW!

Our Story

I want to say “Thank You” to all our friends and family for your love and support over the last 5 years as “The Master’s Men + 1”. When the other three members of the Master’s Men Quartet retired in 2012, God told me (Eddie Smith) to keep singing and God allowed my sister to begin singing again, with me. After a long break of working and raising her family, one of her fears was that she would not be accepted as well because of the popularity of the guys. God has opened many doors since we started singing together again as “The Master’s Men + 1”. After 5 years, we have decided to go “back to our roots” and assume our original name “The Smith Family Singers”. We can never be The Master's Men Quartet but we absolutely love Southern Gospel music and spreading God’s message in song!!! GOD IS SO GOOD and WE ARE SO BLESSED!!!
