As 2024 comes to a close, I feel incredibly lucky to have built a career that not only provides for my family but also allows me to stay home with my kids, all while helping amazing couples bring their wedding dreams to life! I’m filled with gratitude for the growth I’ve experienced this year, especially reaching my highest income to date, which serves as a reminder of my commitment to all my clients + my passion for this business 💕
To all my couples this year: Each of your weddings was a beautiful reminder of why I do what I do + I’m so thankful to have been a part of your special day! Thank you to all the talented vendors I’ve collaborated with — your support + dedication make all the magic happen + I would not have the successful business I do without your partnerships
Little 5 year old Ayla would be so proud 🥹 Who knew we’d be living the dream + making it this far 💘✨
Sounds too good to be true, right?! Doesn’t have to be when you hire me as your wedding planner 🤍🌿
Typical Monday - Friday routine as a mom to 3 who owns her own biz + WFH 🏡🍳☕️🥪🎒💻🌅📚❄️💒💍🍜
If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably been dreaming + envisioning what your wedding would be like since you were a little girl. However, there are so many little details that go into not only planning, but executing your big day that can often be overlooked!
A wedding planner plays such an important role in helping plan + bring your special dreams / visions to reality. The perfect wedding day is going to look different for each couple depending on location, budget, style, vision, etc. + these elements can seem so overwhelming - but that’s what wedding planners are for // we are here to help YOU!
Although my summer 2023 schedule is full - If you are planning to get married during 2024 + have been considering working with a planner to help relieve the stress of planning your wedding alone, please reach out to me 🥰
These days everyone is used to snapping pics / selfies on their phones, but when it comes to your engagement photos - think again. You will most likely use these photos for you engagement announcement, save the dates + wedding website!
Not only is having professional engagement photos important, but it’s an added bonus when you do them with your actual wedding photographer.
Your engagement shoot is the perfect opportunity for you to get to know your wedding photographer’s personality, process + get comfortable with them. This way, there will be no surprises on your wedding day - you won’t feel nervous or unprepared for what your photographer will be like - they should feel almost like a friend by the time your wedding day rolls around!
So excited for one of my sweet full service couples Kylie + Chandler to tie the knot fall 2023 with their amazing photographer (& my good friend!) Theresa Mcdonald: Photographer 🍂
“We are so thrilled we hired Ayla to help with our wedding! We spent so much time and effort planning all the details we knew we needed someone we could trust to take care of everything on our wedding day. Ayla went above and beyond setting up our many many boxes of decor, coordinating our vendors, and making everything come together despite inclement weather.
Ayla always has her couples best intentions in mind, and goes above and beyond to make their day is the best! She is on top of emailing, organizing, and diligently making sure all vendors are on the same page. She made our wedding day incredibly easy because she was 110% doing hers. Thank you Ayla for being such an important part of our day! I would be honored to work with you again my friend!”

Happy Anniversary to this beautiful couple, Valerie + Bryce! 🌙🌻🤍 Hard to believe it’s been three years since these two tied the knot! This year is extra special because it’s their last anniversary just the two of them before their sweet baby girl makes her arrival in August 💕 Hope you have the best day! xx
What if I told you not only will hiring a wedding planner save you time - but save you 𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐲!? 🤯🤯
How can 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 money on a wedding planner actually 𝐬𝐚𝐯𝐞 you money in the long run? Here’s one example: having so many connections in the wedding industry, I’m not only aware of the best deals - but can identify when something is worth what it costs or if you should potentially move on.
If you recognize a wedding planner as a need, instead of a want - in the end you will realize we save you not only money, but 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞. Why spend hours desperately searching the internet for vendors when you can enjoy your time together in engagement bliss?!
As a wedding planner, I can often offset my own cost just based on the savings I will rack up for you throughout the planning process.
Keep in mind all the added value a wedding planner can bring when considering whether or not you can afford one 😉
Building your day of wedding timeline 📝
HOW TO BUILD YOUR DAY-OF WEDDING TIMELINE 📝
Questions before you start:
❓Is your ceremony at the same location as your reception - or will there be driving time involved?
❓What time does your ceremony start? Are you doing a first look or will all photos be after the ceremony during cocktail hour?
❓How many girls are getting hair + makeup done? This will determine what time you need to start getting ready
❓How many hours is your photographer, DJ, wedding planner, etc. scheduled to be on site
1️⃣ First, I always start building the timeline based on the ceremony start time + then work up from there with things that happen beforehand - getting ready time, vendor arrival time, etc.
2️⃣ Second, know how long each element ✨typically✨ takes:
▪️Getting ready (every H&MU artist is different - can be anywhere from 30 to 60+ mins each girl)
▪️Couple photos (1 hour)
▪️Family pictures (30 minutes - depending on size of family)
▪️Wedding party photos (30 minutes)
▪️Ceremony (20 - 40 mins)
▪️Cocktail hour (all depends if you did first look or not + what time dinner is scheduled)
▪️Dinner (all depends on guest count + if you are having buffet or plated meal)
▪️Toasts (all depends on how many people are toasting + if you are doing open mic after)
▪️First dance (less than 5 mins)
▪️Parent dances (less than 5 minutes each)
▪️Cake cutting (less than 5 mins)
▪️Bouquet / garter toss (10 mins)
3️⃣ Third, I factor in what elements each couple is choosing to do on their special day: First look with parents, couple / wedding party grand entrance, garter toss, bouquet toss, cake cutting, parent dances, anniversary dance, shoe game, etc.

The design process is one of my favorite parts of wedding planning with my sweet couples ✨
The 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌 of your wedding is so much more than how things physically appear, but how you + your guests 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 on your big day. The design of your wedding plays a huge role in the entire 𝒗𝒊𝒃𝒆 of your day!
I frequently get asked, “We know how we want our wedding to 𝒍𝒐𝒐𝒌 - but don’t know the detailed elements we 𝒏𝒆𝒆𝒅 to bring to our vision together.”
This is where I step in 💃🏼
Here is just a small glimpse into the design process when we work together:
▫️Once your contract is signed, I’ll send over a detailed design questionnaire that begins the process of curating the aesthetic portion of your wedding day to help me better execute your vision + bring it to life!
▫️You’ll send me a consolidated version of Pinterest Board of everything you are envisioning for your wedding
▫️I will pull pictures from your Pinterest + create an even more consolidated ‘inso / design board’ along with create a custom color palette on one of my favorite graphic design sites, @canva. This ensures we are all on the same page in regards to the aesthetic of your big day ✨
▫️On your design board, I organize + categorize the pages with each different element from your wedding - ceremony / reception / tablescape details, food, etc.
▫️After the board is complete, I will get any feedback from you + make adjustments if necessary
▫️Once I get a 👍🏼 from you, I will link every element of decor on the PDF where you (or I) can either purchase or rent locally each item to truly bring your vision to life!
