Hi everyone! Sorry we haven’t responded. Isaac and I enjoyed a family vacation in Hawaii! We also did something very special while vacationing, we renewed our Wedding Vows in Waikiki! Something we always have said we would do for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. It was a very intimate vowel renewal with just us and our two beautiful children to witness. Best trip we have taken yet! Ohana!

My sons 8th grade photos

This photo shoot was hard to do. Because this is my son. He just promoted from 8th grade. And I left his session as one of the last. I had to really hold back my tears. He is growing up so fast and becoming an amazing young man. If you’re wondering why he took photos with his guitar. It is because he’s a truly talented guitar player. He loves playing Country, Blues, and Rock N Roll music. His most favorite songs he likes to play are from Johnny Cash and Elvis. So you won’t ever catch my son playing any current music. He truly has an old soul when it comes to music. My husband and I are very proud of him as he is an excellent student and musician. Way to go buddy!

Beautiful image I captured and created. For there was once when education for Mexicanos wasn’t encouraged. Taking Chicano Latino studies in both high school and college. I learned of the 1968 East Los Angeles walkouts. Where High School students fought to the right of equal education.

The 1968 Walkouts in East LA were a series of protests and demonstrations by high school Mexican-American students in response to longstanding social and economic inequalities. These walkouts were a culmination of frustration and anger over issues such as police brutality, discrimination, and inadequate access to education and job opportunities. The walkouts lasted for several days. The events of 1968 in East LA played a significant role in raising awareness about the equal rights for Mexican-Americans.

The aftermath of this time changed the spirit of many. Eighteen months after the walkouts, Mexican-American students hiked in college and university registration with it nearly tripling and quadrupling. And even having the Ivy League schools recruiting Mexican-American students.

What a true and amazing accomplishment to witness and see now.

I started taking photos of this young lady when she was just a little girl. And now, I had the opportunity to capture her quinceanera photoshoot. I’ve enjoyed watching her grow into the lovely young lady she is now. Though we took photos of her with her quince dress. Those won’t be seen until the day of her event. I can’t wait!
