If you're starting to get antsy like me, and your first thought is to reach for a snack, here's my recipe for some really delicious protein balls!💪🏼👩🍳
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup mixed nut butter (any creamy nut butter is fine)
1 cup baked coconut flakes (optional)
1/3 cup h**p seeds (any seeds you have will work or you can omit)
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
1/3 cup of honey (can sub maple syrup)
2 scoops protein powder (whatever you have on hand)
1/2 cup chopped roasted cashews (again, use whatever nuts you have🤪)
1/2 cup water
Mix all the ingredients well before mixing in the water. Slowly add a little water at a time while mixing until you can roll a ball without it falling apart.
Scoop into whatever size balls you like!😁 I used an 1/8 measuring cup (2 tablespoons)
Place in the freezer for 20 minutes. Or you can keep them in there for up to 6 months and eat them right out of the freezer. Otherwise, store them in the refrigerator up to 2 weeks.
