Last night we gathered our Kilbreath Events team for some food, games, and time together—celebrating a year dedicated to supporting incredible nonprofits and schools.

From sound & AV to check-in/check-out, to event planning, MCs, and auctioneers, this team works behind the scenes to help missions be heard, stories be told, and funds raised for the communities that matter most.

Grateful for the organizations we get to serve and the partners who trust us to help make their impact possible.

Thank you to every member of our team for your talent, heart, and commitment. I couldn’t be more proud of what we accomplished this year. Here’s to a new year of impact, partnership, and a whole lot of fun along the way.

Today I had the pleasure of talking fundraising with the Bellevue Sunrise Rotary.

This group truly embodies "Service Above Self", and it showed in the thoughtful questions and great discussion as we explored this year’s event trends, what’s working now, and where things are headed.

Rotary clubs always impress me with their commitment to community and their genuine desire to make a lasting impact.

It’s been an honor of mine for 14 years to serve as the fundraising host for the Ballard High Foundation. And honestly—who doesn’t love an auction that doubles as a salmon barbecue? Yum!

Each year, this event (along with the golf tournament) raises critical funds to support the students, staff, and facilities at Ballard High School. This includes helping make the athletic trainer a full-time position and funding a strength and conditioning coach—both huge wins for student wellness and performance.

Another program we raise money for is GAINS Program, which provides at-risk students with the support and motivation they need to graduate on time and prepare for success in college and career.

Always grateful for this community and the impact they make.

I love it when a planning meeting turns into a great lunch a great conversation and some laughs!

This is going to be a fun crew to work with! I am looking forward to being back on the stage for A Night Of Hope as we raise money for cancer research.

Ginger and Hannah will be fun partners and Kerri too who wasn't able to attend.

What an incredible night with Junior Achievement! The generosity in the room was truly inspiring—this crowd showed up ready to make a difference, and wow did they deliver.

As always a pleasure working with co-host Brian MacMillan from FOX 13 Seattle ... Together we kept the energy, kept the bidders engaged, and helped elevate the impact of every moment.

Junior Achievement continues to prepare young people for success by empowering them with real-world skills, financial education, and opportunities that shape their futures. It was an honor to help support a mission that’s building tomorrow’s leaders.

Austin and Aliesha were all smiles as they hosted a fantastic event for United Indians of All Tribes Foundation — and these two are truly a dynamic duo whenever they take the stage together. Their energy, teamwork, and heart make a real impact.

United Indians of All Tribes Foundation, founded in 1970, provides a wide range of culturally responsive services and programs for Seattle and King County’s urban Native community. Their home at the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center in Seattle's Discovery Park continues to be a powerful gathering place and resource for so many.

Always grateful to support organizations doing such meaningful work.

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Cameron Smock on Friday morning. Cameron co-hosted more than ten events with me over the years through the Seattle Executives Association and the Ballard / Northwest Senior Center. He was an absolute joy to work with—his humor, his warmth, and the way he connected with people made every event better.

At every venue, every time, people gravitated toward him. You always walked away from a conversation with Cameron feeling lighter, feeling seen. That smile, that quick wit, and his genuine interest in others were his trademarks. He cared. And you felt it.

Curt, Fiona, Trevor, and I, along with the entire Kilbreath Events team, send our deepest gratitude and love as we celebrate the life of this remarkable man.

I’m pictured here with his wife, Shannon, at our most recent event together in May. May she and the entire Smock family find comfort and grace in the days ahead.

Every once in a while, there are events that absolutely blow us away with the generosity of the guests in attendance. It’s been incredible to watch this event grow over the years, and I was thrilled to be part of it as the fundraising host—alongside our amazing emcee Rachel Perry.

The Powell-Drescher Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation’s mission is to power the future of ovarian cancer research by endowing funds and fostering collaboration between scientists and survivors. What an inspiring cause and community to support!
