pi*vot: to adapt or improve by adjusting or modifying something
The forecast called for minimal rain, very early in the morning. The reality brought us lots of rain. All day long.
Some would have panicked. (ok - we panicked a little) But, in a true display of a calm, collected, up-for-anything attitude, this couple embraced the hand that they were dealt and absolutely made the best of it. We had to make some on the spot adjustments, change our vision, and create a new take on the day that had been planned oh-so-perfectly.
And you know what? WE DID IT. An amazing vendor team came together to do whatever we had to in order to get these two married and enjoy a true celebration of their love. Umbrella carrying friends and family understood the assignment and spent the day completely unbothered by the rain and stayed focused on celebrating the newlyweds. And the bride and groom - the true stars of the day - exuded love and joy and didn’t let ANYTHING get in the way of having THE BEST DAY EVER.
Denise + Travis, words can’t explain how incredibly proud I am. You took a situation that could have paralyzed any of us, and embraced it whole-heartedly. Rain has been a constant factor throughout your love story, so I guess it only makes sense that it forced its way into your wedding day. You’ll forever have quite the story to tell, amazing pictures to look back on, and incredible memories that will last a lifetime. Besides - rain on your wedding day is a sign of good luck…and even though you two didn’t need it…your marriage is now a little *extra* blessed. Thank you for trusting me throughout the process, especially when we had to make some major changes on the day of. It ended up being a magical day and as our first ever fully rainy wedding, it’s one we’ll never forget. October 12, 2024 will forever be a Whiskey Feather Favorite! 🤍
