My Story
I became ordained through American Marriage Ministries in 2013, when I was told that I wasn’t allowed to be my best friend’s Maid of Honor. So, I had to still “one-up” the person who was chosen in my place. I was excited when my offer was accepted by the bride because, to me, this was a greater honor. Although I obtained my ordination and documents from the church, I wasn’t taken seriously by everyone involved.
Years later, I met my first client by fate. A friend of a friend was planning her wedding for the following year and asked for my contact information. I was surprised when she contacted me as promised. I was so honored to be given the chance, I accepted my first couple and made it my mission to give them something special regardless of how under qualified I was portrayed to be in my first experience.
Fast forward to now, I’ve decided to just put myself out there now that I have some experience. I enjoy my clergy duties, and I find a sense fulfillment and purpose while preparing and performing every ceremony.
