Festival of Chariots is an ancient multi-cultural parade and Bhakti yoga wellness festival founded on the traditions of India. If you’ve ever dreamed of visiting exotic places, we have a treat for you. GET A TASTE THE EAST without leaving Florida! The event includes entertainment, live music, singing, dance, drama, book and healthy living booths, bazaar, yoga classes, healing arts workshops and he

althy vegetarian food. Festival of Chariots is the oldest known parade in the world. The parade's unique feature is a huge 25 ft tall, brightly colored chariot ornately decorated with swans, lotus flowers, flags and auspicious symbols. The chariot has 100 ft long ropes that are pulled by anyone who wants to join in, propelling the chariot along the beach. Riding on the Chariot is the Lord of the Universe, encouraging everyone to come together and celebrate life, peace and well being while uplifting our consciousness. Accompanying the parade is live, spiritually inspired kirtan music and dancing, backed by exotic drums & hand cymbals. It’s an ecstatic, exciting event, a vision from another world! The credit for this beautiful and inspiring event goes to the Founder/Acharya, His Divine Grace AC Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, who came to America in 1965, at the age of 70, and introduced the timeless tradition of the Festival of Chariots (known as Ratha Yatra) to the West. His vision was to inspire people from all walks of life towards a peaceful, spiritual society. The festival has attracted millions of people during its annual celebrations in major cities around the world. Over 10,000 plates of vegetarian food are served free of charge between the nine festivals held each year in the state of Florida: Miami, Jacksonville Beach, Tallahassee, Orlando, Tampa, Gainesville, Daytona Beach, Clearwater Beach & St. Augustine.

This past weekend, we had the honor and a privilege to be part of the Tallahassee Spring Parade!

The Tallahassee Spring Parade is a celebration of history and culture, with over 100 colorful floats, marching bands, dancing groups, and more. The parade was once again graced by Lord Jagannath on His chariot with His devotees dancing and chanting the Holy Names along the procession route.

As the parade made its way through the streets of Tallahassee, the sound of melodious chanting and the sight of devotees dressed in bright colors dancing in choreographed steps drew the attention of onlookers, bringing a lot of excitement and positive reactions.

This opportunity to attend the Spring Festival was a great way to spread Krsna Consciousness to hundreds of people who gathered at Monroe Street celebrating the community of Tallahassee. The warm smiles from all the devotee participants resonated with the crowd, cultivating joy and happiness, and leaving an impression on all who had the privilege of witnessing the mercy of Lord Jagannath.

We are so excited to be back in St Augustine with all of you beautiful people!

This year, again, we were invited to participate in the yearly parade of pirates- The Gasparilla parade in Tampa. This is an amazing preaching opportunity as over 800,000 people are expected to attend and event is televised on all the major channels.

Parade will take place on Saturday, January 28th and the exact time to gather will be confirmed soon. There will be a bus leaving from the Alachua Temple in the morning and will come back to the Temple after 9 pm. A $20 pp donation made via PayPal to festivalofchariots is appreciated to cover the ever-rising cost of gas, insurance, etc.

Hot prasadam lunch will be provided in Tampa before the parade and a hot dinner prasad will be served following the parade in downtown Tampa at a beautiful skyscraper lounge overlooking the city

Spots on the bus are limited and all participants must register with Pranaya Keli Haberland to receive a bracelet.

IMPORTANT: Entrance to parade route might be denied without a bracelet. No small children or strollers please !!!

And please come dressed in your best Vaishnava clothing and don't forget your instruments!

The first Ratha Yatra of 2022 in Florida was a great success. Devotees from Alachua, Orlando, Tampa and Miami participated in the glorious chanting of the Holy Name during the enormously popular Gasparilla Parade which took place on January 29th in Tampa, FL. Despite the bitter cold (it was the coldest Gasparilla parade in history), devotees were blissfully chanting for more than 8 hours straight. Jai Jagganath!
