So… the couple didn’t ask me to do this. The fact is, I asked the bride if she would allow me to do a thing… ( I promised her it would be very cool) .. and it there would be no charge, of course.
I am always trying to help clients get more uses out of the greenery and flowers they buy from me. So, when this particular venue sent an email to me stating they disallow the re-use of florals from ceremony into their reception space, it fueled a spark that ignited an idea.
At first I was going to shorten this 25 feet of garland that had been draped across their arch but once the ceremony ended, I had only a few precious moments and no time for editing.
With some help from the brides sister, we cut the zip ties securing it in place and unwound this huge greenery boa from the arch. I rolled it up gingerly and lifted the entire bulk of it across the parking lot and into my car. I drove twenty five miles one way to the photo shoot area, unpacked the garland, walked it down to the wrong side of the beach, had to lug it back to my car, drove to the correct side of the beach, got it all out again, hiked down a steep rocky trail (with the whole thing spilling everywhere) and labored across the sand, sweating and panting and dropping a trail of roses, hydrangea and magnolia behind me the whole way! I took a deep breath and arranged it around the couple. I really didn’t even know what I was actually doing with it. What I did know was that there was a time limit for this adventure and less than ten minutes to make something worthwhile happen. Then the magic.
Here it is! A sneak peek at the fruits of my labor at the Black Sand beach in Silver Bay. I am so stinking proud!
My husband shakes his head at me. Most people give me uncertain glances. I really can’t explain what comes over me. I guess I just want to live every one of these moments I can. (Paid or unpaid) I will literally scheme with anyone willing to participate in my crazy ideas and ask God to show me what He’s got.
The reward is simple. It’s a moment like this.
I’m not even sure if I really care if anyone else gets it because I absolutely live for it. 🌸 This is me. It’s what I do.

Something amazing bloomed from a disappointment I experienced this Saturday. A client ordered this floral crown and then ghosted me. They told me they would pick up at 2:30… and I waitedand waited but they never showed. By 6PM I was out my time and money for this prom order. (I only had four and now was only being paid for three.) Saddened but determined, I couldn’t bear throwing this beautiful crown out. I got in my car and headed to the Malting building where the prom was being held. I scanned the crowd and watched for the perfect candidate, then I saw Kate. I knew immediately it was meant to be. I approached her humbly and asked her if she would like to wear it. She was over the moon to receive this gift. Turns out, she had ordered a dried crown that came in the wrong color. I gave her the crown and went on my way, asking nothing in return, other that she let me take a photo. I left without telling her anything about my business or who I was. The next morning I got a text from her mom thanking me. I have no idea how she found me since I was a total stranger, giving away flowers to people I had never met. The mom was ecstatic and offered to pay me. She insisted I give her my Venmo to send some money for the flowers. It was so unexpected, I cried. She paid me twice as much as I would have ever charged for this crown. What a happy gift to me!!! It made my heart melt. Thank you Kate, (whoever you are) and to your mom for your kind generosity. 🌸💕❤️ You are why I love doing what I do.

Preserved floral bridal bouquet delivered personally by yours truly from MN to AZ..💕Happy wedding day to the happiest couple!!! These flowers are 100% real and 100% preserved.
My personal review, on my first time making such a bouquet: Definitely expensive, somewhat fragile and very time consuming/laborious to wire each bloom but totally gorgeous and extremely long lasting. No water necessary.

Regina Christiansen was one of my biggest cheerleaders when I stepped out into my dream of becoming a florist.
