When you want to shoot in a certain spot, but there is a pesky ray of light hitting your gorgeous subject, your fabulous crew comes to the rescue. My assistant, second shooter, and an amazing member of Hampton Cove Wedding Plantation's staff worked together to help me get the even light I needed for this beautiful bride's swing photos. Team work. :)

From Engagement to Wedding Day

Shooting at Annabella at Cedar Glen is like going home for us. I can't tell you how many weddings I've shot there in my 15 years in business, but it's a whole lot. We are so comfortable there with sweet Karen at the helm and the beautiful grounds to explore as backdrops. When you add to that getting to work with a couple who was so ridiculously in love with each other, and so incredibly kind, along with a precious family and wedding party, I just don't know how it gets much better than that.

The Glass House Venue is a magical place! The weather was not on our side this day, as it had been raining for days and everything was wet, but the venue is so gorgeous inside and on the front stone steps that it didn't matter that we couldn't get in the grass - there was no need to because beautiful backgrounds abound at this venue. We enjoyed this super sweet couple's wedding day from start to finish, and we were honored to be their photographers.

So proud of this amazing past bride of ours! She's as smart as she is beautiful, and as you can see, that's quite the accomplishment. I was thankful I had the chance to take some graduation photos for her on the UAB campus. Congratulations, Dr. Dean!

Wedding day joy!

It's hard to recall many brides who had as much fun on their wedding day. This beautiful lady soaked up every single second of the day, and she laughed and smiled more than I previously thought possible. They were an absolutely delight to work with! The soggy ground from days of rain and the sprinkles that popped up here and there detracted nothing from their joy, and that was so very refreshing.
